I disagree that Ms. Marvel would know what X-Force is. Like, 90s X-Force would have been relatively public but only appear in random news stories from when Kamala was like 12. And since then it's been fairly secretive black ops stuff. And none of those would have in-universe fanfic, even if you assume that this is a world where superhero RPF is apparently the only fanfic that exists.
But there is a time when the X-Force team was a very public and even advertised team, and that's probably what someone who has never lived in the X-Mansion would have as a touchstone. And it's the type of thing that someone might write fanfic about.
What I'm saying is that Kamala thinks X-Force is a reality TV show, but she doesn't know what goes on there because it wasn't allowed in her house.
