Unpopular Opinion Meme - Always Accepting (there is never enough salt)

I don’t think that neither Fenris nor Cullen are in a good mental space to romance a mage.

They aren’t. They both need to work around themselves a lot before reaching that mental space. 

The reasons, however, are different: for Fenris it is a lot more easy to slip back into his slave mindset with a mage!hawke, while for Cullen the whole “you are different from other mages” is just gross.

I mean, what would happen if either had a mage!child with their default mentality?

I think people are quick to automatically jump to the mage side of things without considering the oppressive institution that the Chantry is and with its teachings of the Templar Order. There isn’t talk of how the Chantry uses lyrium to make its templars addicted and chained to their duties and how trying to come off of it usually kills you -- or, the years of use leads to loss of memory/dementia until death. 

I think the popular posts that are written about the abuses in the Circles are written with such a pro-mage bias that it automatically excludes the other perspective. I don’t support the abusive behaviour of course, but I think it needs to be looked at with an objective rather than a subjective view about the issues within the Circle.

Scar Meme - Accepting

Everybody has some kind of scar. Send me a ✗ to hear about a physical scar my character has, or a ✧ to hear about an emotional/mental scar.

The scar on his thigh is one he is particularly... fond of. If you can be fond of scars.

It was the first one he had during training. They had been given for the first time true blade, and the recruits were busy training against each other. It was a quiet time, for Keran. They weren’t allowed even near the mages, save in the courtyard, and it all seemed simple, clean, easy. Parry, strike.

Keran was not the best recruit. Others were stronger or faster than him. But he was the one who stood in the training court the longer. 

That particular scar, he got because the training Templar saw him staying long after the time the others left, and started giving him private lessons. One night, he happened to hit him stronger than he meant to, and to slash his thigh.

He apologized later, saying that “he had forgot he was training with a recruit.”

      It’s fairly obvious the moment that it happens that         it had all been a series of unfortunate events,         culminating in an accident that seemed painful        on both ends.  He’d wanted to come up to talk to        her, to investigate the champion of Kirkwall, he’d        wanted to see who could warp and change the city        he’d been in for only a few days but could still        remember so clearly.

      He’d been standing just inside the door of the nearby         tower, trying to work up the courage to step out of the        safe walls and onto the ramparts themselves.  There        was something about the openness of the area above        the keep that made his skin crawl.

      He hadn’t been expecting her to open the door, nor had        he expected to miss a step in his fright.

      It wasn’t a very nice way to replay being caught from         falling down the stairs by throwing them down it instead.        But even as she catches his hand his fingers feel hot,         almost as though she were toughing fire, and rather         than burn her he tries to pull his hands away, instead        managing to pull her down the stairs with him and        into the stone wall.
