        there were certain pockets you didn’t put your hands in; it was a fact every newman learned before they were ten years old. an easy enough idea in theory, but when those pockets don’t always identify themselves, mistakes get made. apparently one of micah’s brothers had made such a mistake, and the backlash landed close to home in one of the bars his family frequented. his back was turned for a fraction of a second when the sound of a gunshot rattled his skull, had him turning his attention to the other. he was already calculating as he moved towards them, disregarding the man bleeding at their feet as his eyes scanned them for any sign of injury. micah brought his gaze to their eyes, tried to coax them into meeting it. his voice came unnervingly level given the frantic nature of the situation. “ hey, hey, are you hurt? are you okay? ”

silence  hangs  between  them.  it’s  tense.  the  fun  and  games  have  come  to  a  halt,  the  excitement  derived  of  a  fling  now  turned  to  a  matter  of  life  and  death.  griffin  doesn’t  like  it.  he  doesn’t  like  the  dead  weight  of  guilt  hanging  on  his  shoulders  each  time  he  gazes  in  her  direction.  “  this  was  never  part  of  the  plan.  ”  plan.  he  speaks  as  though  he  could  have  expected  this.  maybe  he  should  have.  griffin’s  fucked  over  a  lot  of  people.  “  you  were  never  supposed  to  get  involved.  you  understand  that,  don’t  you?  ”

positivity for sky @wuunderstruck !!! sky has been a good friend of mine for a few years now and her constant loyalty and friendship has made such a world of difference. she welcomes muses with open arms and truly wants to know how they tick past the surface level, which is so greatly appreciated as a writer because you find yourself learning things about your own muses. sky is a kind and hilarious human and i want to send her all the love and positivity !!!

“ i hate you, ” althaia hisses through gritted teeth. it wasn’t true at all. she could only hope that something would fail on their end, and they wouldn’t see the clear indication of lying in her eyes. she turns her back to them, one hand gripping her coat and the other her bag.  “ i’m tired and i don’t want to do this anymore.” 

“  hey,  i’m  not  jealous,  just  curious.  ”

      “ LOOK WHAT I MADE ! IT’S A LASER --- ”  before quinn got the chance to show off her new invention it was being triggered and shooting through the nearest wall so you could see in to some poor schmuck’s office . the backfire was so vicious her petite form flew back nd tripped backwards . she propped herself up on her elbows to look up at the other person . nervously , she laughed , shrugging her shoulders . “  aha . . . this is why i’m a brain and not supe . ” @wuunderstruck​
