I knew Bela Lugosi played Frankenstein’s monster once (Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man -1943), I didn’t know Boris Karloff once played a vampire.
In 1963 Karloff appeared as the narrator of an Italian horror anthology “Black Sabbath”. It was directed by Mario Bava, Italy’s Master of the Macabre. He was also featured on one of the three stories - "The Wurdulak". Karloff played Gorca, a grandfather who had been missing for several days, but when he returns unfortunately he’d had become a vampire and soon… (spoiler!).
