a fear i have is that because rian keeps blanc's backstory vauge, i worry that he wont keep track of all the hints and implications he has thinly spread out across the franchise. like at some point something about blanc will be implied that contradicts something we already knew about him and the fandom will either have offshoots on what is "really canon" or will choose to ignore one of the implications.
i dont Think this is gonna happen but im worried that it might happen and will make blanc go from "mysterious detective that keeps it close to the chest" to "2d charitarization of a detective that has actually been lying this whole time". one is intruiging and intresting and the latter is boring and theres less reason to do character analysis cus he could be lying about any part of his past.
