Needs to be said so bear with me
Okay. So I wasn't ever planning on getting involved in this WSMG thing and I probably won't ever mention it again, so here, read about my one and only opinion.
I don't find it a big deal. Now, being a Cameron girl doesn't necessarily validate my opinion for the rest of you, but the whole reason I haven't said a thing about this is because 1) I honestly cannot find a reason to care, and 2) I find it pointless to start complaining about how "Cameron isn't pure and innocent and sweet anymore..."
I want you to think about something. Regarding the 6-second videoΒ recentlyΒ posted on Vine by a WSMG girl: what if he was driving them home? Think about it - what if they were way too hammered to drive and he was pulling the chivalrous guy thing and helping them out? wHAT IF IT WASN'T EVEN BAD??? Just because a girl in the car posted a video with Cameron in it does not mean he was 1) drinking, 2) having sex or in a relationship with any of the girls in the car, and lastly, 3) driving under the influence. His face showed for a total of maybe 1 second, and in my opinion, he looked like he was focused on driving. But this may not even be the case, and we can't just assume one thing happened or another. Think of all the possibilities that we aren't seeing.
He did not evenΒ post the video. Some fans found it because they were snooping around the girls' Vine accounts. Think about it: wouldn't he have tweeted the video if he really wanted us to see it? The majority of us, including me, don't even really know what this whole WSMG thing is about, so the fact that some fans were snooping around and found a controversial video was their fault.
Another thing regarding Cameron in general: He is 23 years old. He's gonna do stupid shit, whether we like it or not. I, for one, am in favor of the stupid shit, because that's what makes me look up to them in general and that's what makes them fucking humans. Yeah, they're my idols, and yeah, they're my heroes. But the reason I admire them so much is because they make dumbass mistakes sometimes, and that reminds me that they're normal, and making mistakes is okay. Good, even. No one's going to stop you from making stupid little "oopsies" in life. No one. We can't put the band, Cameron included, in this little bubble of admiration and expect them to act perfectly and make morally correct choices 100% of the time.Β
My main point is: yeah, we all want Cameron to be this perfect 18 year old virgin with chubby cheeks and facial acne, but the reality is he wasn't even perfect when he was 18. NO ONE IS EVER PERFECT, NO MATTER HOW HARD THEY TRY OR HOW MUCH THEY LOOK LIKE IT. Behind-the-scenes shit happens that we don't even see - and this does not mean that Cameron has "changed" or will "change." Stuff like this has probably happened before in his 23 years of existence, but this time, it happened to be caught on camera. IT DOESN'T CHANGE ANYTHING.
If you read through all of this, thank you. And please message me if I can clear anything up for you. But please, chillax.
