Rec: I’ve gotta say, I love me some juicy break-up-and-make-up action and this brings it all and then some. I had a hard time putting this one down and was fully engaged from start to finish in the rich and insightful emotion-laden journey.

Tracking a dual timeline between when Sherlock and John first get together and the crisis six months later, the tension is stretched paper-thin with the struggle to stay together on one end, and stay apart on the other. Hurt, regret, and denial battle against attraction, comfort, and emotions that neither man wants but cannot escape. At the same time, with a nasty serial killer case to be solved, our two heroes’ emotional entanglement puts not only their wellbeing and friendship but the very lives of others at stake.

I also accidentally started watching the Izzie-George arc in Grey’s anatomy. I used to hate it so much but now I can seem to relate to Izzie’s line. My heart also felt tugged when the scene showed Derek choosing Mer regardless of how much he knows it’ll hurt him and idk, I kind of wish one day you might pull a McDreamy to my Meredith. I’d even settle for a McSteamy to my Lexie.

I’m still writing from the 12th floor though.

How did Sherlock never know that John had an ex-boyfriend? Of the thousands of things he knows about John, some deduced, others confided in, how could he never know about this? He thought John was straight.
