English is so stupid what do you mean "haste makes waste". in Polish we say "gdy się człowiek śpieszy to się diabeł cieszy" which translates to "when you're in a hurry, the devil is happy". same idea, objectively more powerful message

Why, no ...
I didn't just spend almost an hour looking up the meanings of flowers and if they're available in the UK.
*bangs head against my keyboard*
I am, quite probably, the only person who's going to care what flowers Carla bought Lisa for their first date.
I think, after this is done, I lost my ability to read.
My eyes are puzzle pieces and so is my brain.
The writer's favorite problem
Seeing how characters like Jax and Stolas are treated as the creator's favorite made me realize I've also had the same problem with my outdated stories.
My selfsona, Liana Longtail, never learns from her mistakes and keeps repeating them. Not to mention, she acts like every problem in the world needs her involvement, but that's not always the case. Liana cares mostly about what sounds good to her and gets upset when things don't go her way.
She's basically a furry version of Charlie Morningstar, but more incredibly obnoxious. Thank god, that's not the case anymore because she needed a revamp BADLY.
I had the same favoritism problem with my villain OC, Donovan Hornell. While writing the outdated The Skibidi Invasion, I didn't do a very good job at developing his character just like with Liana.
He was made to be obnoxious, but I barely made him take actual accountability for his actions. All he does is bitch and moan throughout the entire story and the narrative wanted the audience to feel sorry for him (which was not fully the intention).
Donovan thought fighting alongside with the protagonist was his way of redemption, but I know it's going to take more than that to fully redeem for the things he's done. Other than a quick ass whooping, Donovan got let off easy because he was forgiven far too quickly.
Thankfully, he'll also get a revamp. Donovan is still my favorite, but that doesn't mean that he won't get what's eventually coming to him and won't get let off that easily.
You see, even as my favorite, characters still need to be held accountable for the things they say and do. It's not character development if they don't ever learn from their mistakes.
And you can't call a character "complex" if they're too shallow to begin with. If there's no layers to their character, then it's not complex.
why do I always get fixated on a new fic idea when my WIP is left on a cliffhanger. how does that work huh

The fact that I have motivation and brilliant ideas to write when it's past midnight and when morning comes I get writer's block and can't write shit?
POV: You want to read that particular story so badly, but you need to finish writing it first ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
How it started
A light, fun, carefree assortment of dream holiday scenarios to serve as a backdrop for flirting.
How it is going
The most delicate, excruciating, ridiculously complicated balancing act of feelings I ever tried to pull
