The characters have officially taken over the dialogue. I don't know where this conversation is going. The plot is not being moved forward, it's currently sitting in a corner and crying. Send help.

destined to be a storyteller, doomed to “how spell neccesary” into google three times because i kept forgetting
researching the origins of hacky sack the other day (as one does) and I learned that "keepie-uppie" style games are some of the oldest organized sports in the historical record. specifically this one called cuju caught my eye, because it dates back to Han China and yet the ball was...
...eerily familiar.
I mean, that's a soccer ball. That is a soccer and/or foot- and/or volley-ball. this print is ~700 years old and I know for a fact I could find that exact ball at WalMart. and I keep getting whiplash the more I read, because there's all these antique Chinese paintings captioned like, Emperor Taizu of Song Observing His Court Eunuchs in a Cuju Match, and you look and:
that is a Dad. that is someone's Dad. he's heckling his own kid from the bleachers.
As much as it's important to recognize the issues with your work so that you can adjust them, it's equally important to realize your work's strengths! You don't have to only engage in critique of your own work, it's important to have parts you openly enjoy and love, too.
my writer toxic trait is that I feel like I have to do all this preperation before I can even think about writing a word
like; writing a dystopia? I Need To Read The Top 50 Dystopia Books And Learn About The Entire History Of The World™ To Get Inspiration From, Actually
hey I want to have a fictional language! I Am Going To Learn So Much About Words. I Am Going To Learn The Foundation Of Not Only Written Language But Spoken Language As Well Because If I Don't My Brain Will Kill Me In My Sleep, Actually :)
like I know this'll probs turn out to be a Good Thing in the long run and feels like its a "My Lobster Is Too Buttery!" situation but it feels so exhausting and continuously keeps me from just picking up a pen and writing whatever comes to mind pls tell me im not the only one struggling with this right now and how tf do you deal with it

Kalim being suicidal to some extent, Isn't that exaggerating if you think about it..
I mean, with how often he used to (and still does) get kidnapped. You'd think "wow this guy must be really lucky to have survived through all of that". But what if he's just expecting it now, what if he's counting down the days till one actually succeeds.
He's definitely more passive than actively suicidal, lol.
I’ll run to you and you’ll catch me
And when you don’t let go I’ll relize
That this is no longer just a dream
