Being a part of The Judgment Day was supposed to make you feel invincible. And for a while, it did. Finn took you under his wing, JD became your chaotic brother, and Dom, well—Dom was Dom.
But everything started to unravel the second Liv Morgan entered the picture.
She had just recently joined the faction, replacing Rhea. She was chaos wrapped in glitter and mischief, and every time she smiled, you swore your heart did somersaults. You had fallen for her fast, hard, and so, so quietly.
But the universe didn’t play fair.
She flirted with Dom without even realizing it. Maybe it was just Liv being Liv, but Dom leaned into it. Always there with a smirk, always touching her arm, whispering in her ear before a segment. And Liv never pushed him away.
You told yourself it didn’t mean anything. You told yourself it would pass. You told yourself to grow up.
But tonight, you couldn’t pretend anymore.
⸻
The Match
You and Liv were up against Damage CTRL. The crowd was loud, the lights were hot, and your skin prickled with dread the second you saw Dom at ringside, leaning lazily on the barricade. Watching her.
The match was solid, but you were barely hanging on emotionally. You tagged in with stiff limbs, gave IYO and Dakota a beating, then tagged out again to catch your breath.
And that’s when it happened.
Dom called something to Liv, leaning in close from the floor. She laughed. Laughed like it was just the two of them in the ring. Like he was hers.
Your stomach twisted. It was a thousand pounds of pain in your chest. A burning betrayal of something that was never even yours to begin with.
Liv turned from Dom, reaching for you—hand out, desperate, trusting.
Tag me in, tag me in, her eyes said. I need you.
And you…
You stepped down from the apron.
The crowd roared in confusion. Liv’s face crumbled in real time.
“What?! No! What are you doing?!” she screamed as you backed away.
You didn’t answer. You didn’t look.
Seconds later, she was yanked back by her hair.
BAM — Moonsault from IYO.
One… Two… Three.
Liv was pinned, staring up at the lights. Betrayed. Alone.
Dom was yelling something. But you walked away.
⸻
Backstage
Everyone tried to stop you. Triple H was at the curtain, brows drawn tight. Finn spoke up first.
“What the hell was that?!” he barked. “You just left her out there! You turned your back on Liv—on us!”
You didn’t stop walking.
JD ran alongside you, face twisted in disbelief. “Talk to us. What’s goin’ on with you?! This ain’t you, man. You’ve been off for weeks. Just—say something.”
You froze in the hallway. Your fists were clenched, chest heaving. And before you could stop yourself, it all came spilling out.
“You really want to know?”
The hallway fell quiet. Finn’s brow furrowed. JD stilled.
“I’m in love with Liv,” you said, your voice breaking. “And watching her flirt with Dom every damn day is killing me. Every second I stand next to her, I feel like I’m suffocating.”
Silence.
“And I didn’t say anything because I’m terrified.” Your voice shook now. “I grew up in a house where being gay was a death sentence. My parents—when I came out at fifteen—they screamed that I was disgusting. My dad hit me. My mom tried to send me to a conversion camp. Twice.”
JD’s face dropped completely. Finn took a step back like the words physically hit him.
“I got out. I ran. WWE was my escape. You guys were the first people to ever make me feel safe. And I didn’t tell you because I was scared of losing that. I’m still scared.”
The tears came now, hot and unrelenting.
“So yeah. I snapped. I’m the “villain” tonight. I just couldn’t take it anymore.”
Finn opened his mouth. JD looked like he wanted to cry too.
But you didn’t give them the chance.
You turned, shoved past the cameras and staff, and walked straight to the locker room. Grabbed your bag. Pulled your hoodie over your head.
Dom tried calling out to you again as you passed him. You still ignored him.
Triple H asked if you were okay.
You ignored him.
Liv, still sitting at the edge of the med bay, stared after you, tear-streaked and broken.
You couldn’t look her in the eye. You never could.

Outside the Arena
The air was cold. It felt cleaner than anything inside. You climbed into your car, hands shaking. The silence was unbearable, but your heart was louder.
You reached for your phone, fingers trembling, and typed one last message:
To Ferg:
“This was for the best. I’m sorry.”
Then you tossed your phone in the passenger seat, turned the key in the ignition, and pulled away.
You didn’t know where you were going.
But for the first time, you knew you couldn’t go back.
