Chime Wrenward, the Prosthetics Tester. Bonus very small Dusk Wrenward.
Wrenward is a troubled family name to have. Chime is an older and less represented character at this point in time, but who they are have been has been altered a little. I'll leave the reasons vague for now, but the Wrenwards true names will be hidden - Chime's name may not be her real one, same with Dusk. Chime is Dusk's mother, who lives a rather solitary-ish lifestyle within a WPAF R&D Compound related to rather experimental and big robotic prosthetics (I'm reworking on the terminology). The WPAF in the region Chime lives in pays and assists fully in all of her needs as compensation for her continued cooperation. Having most of her lower half amputated long time ago, she is wheelchair bound majority of the time. While seeming smaller and more frail, Chime is known for her maddening amounts of determination mixed with a hint of apathy. She has been doing this job for so long...
Chime had Dusk when she was a teenager, which was not great and a rather horrific series of events. She relinquished most of her parental rights quickly, though always had at least weekly visitations from Dusk, developing a relationship and not abandoning the child. Another wing in the WPAF branch of the area took the child in as foster youth and it is rumored that the "father" was killed by someone in the not-R&D-branch, perhaps an officer gone rogue. While Chime always has this depressing aura, Dusk was a little more of the whimsical sort, at least for a time. Then supposedly whatever it means to be a Wrenward, happened. Let's leave it as that, for now.
Notably in the staff, Chime has a friend in some of them, most notably Hart Santossa. They act as personal security assigned to the people cooperating with the army's wards in the research and development, among many others. He does end up getting reassigned to different positions and branches a lot, but attempts to return back to Chime whenever possible.
