Wrapped in You
Summary:
Heâs been watching, waiting, and now heâs finally close. A playful glance turns into teasing touches, soft kisses, and quiet confessions as they move through yoga, laughter, and tender moments. Every glance, every touch, every whispered word draws them closer, building intimacy and connection that feels infinite.
The soft hum of the gym surrounded usâweights clinking, the treadmill whirring, the faint hiss of air conditioningâbut my focus was on my yoga practice. Each stretch felt grounding, every pose a small meditation. And yet, through all of it, I could feel himâJonâwatching me. Not just watching, but really looking. Like he was memorizing every curve, every line, every movement I made.
I caught him out of the corner of my eye, leaning casually against the squat rack, arms crossed over his chest, that signature smirk on his face. My heart skipped a beat, and a tiny laugh escaped me.
âYou know,â I said, moving into a warrior pose, âif youâre going to stare, at least help me balance.â
He stepped closer, the sound of his sneakers quiet against the floor. âI am helping,â he said, voice low and teasing. âIâm helping you⊠feel appreciated.â
I laughed, shaking my head. âAppreciated or ogled?â
He raised an eyebrow, grinning. âWhatâs the difference?â
I wiggled my hips slightly, testing his reaction. He immediately straightened, eyes darkening with a playful heat. âAh, there it is. That little yoga twist⊠lethal. Youâre trying to distract me.â
âYou caught me,â I admitted, a mischievous smile tugging at my lips. âWhat are you going to do about it?â
He took a step closer, his hands brushing lightly against my arms. âHmm⊠maybe Iâll just⊠make sure youâre very aware of how much I love you,â he murmured, voice low and intimate. I felt a shiver run through me at the warmth in his tone.
âYou know,â I said, pretending to think, âIâm pretty sure youâre supposed to spot me when I do this pose.â I wiggled into downward dog, giving him the perfect view.
Jon groaned, his grin widening. âYoga really is cruel⊠in the best way.â He reached out, resting his hands lightly on my hips, steadying me. âBut you make it worth it.â
I couldnât help the laugh that escaped me. âWorth it, huh? Thatâs what you tell yourself when youâre staring at my butt?â
âExactly,â he replied, voice full of warmth and humor. âI mean⊠I love my woman. And sheâs⊠stunning.â He leaned in suddenly, pressing a soft kiss along my neck, brushing his lips against my jawline. I gasped, tilting my head into him.
âI missed you,â I admitted, my voice trembling slightly with the honesty of it. âI missed⊠all of this.â
âI missed you too,â he murmured, brushing his fingers through my hair, tucking strands behind my ear. âEvery second weâre apart⊠Iâm thinking about you.â He pulled me a little closer, letting his chest press against mine. âEvery stretch, every laugh, every little smile⊠itâs all been on my mind.â
I rested my hands against his chest, feeling the steady beat of his heart beneath my fingers. âYouâre ridiculous,â I said softly, though my cheeks were burning.
âRidiculously in love with you,â he countered immediately, his hands sliding down to my waist again. âAnd donât you forget it.â
I laughed, leaning up to kiss the corner of his mouth lightly. âOkay, fine. I wonât forget.â
We stayed like that for a moment, just holding each other, the world outside the gym fading away. Then, he smirked, brushing his nose against mine. âYou know⊠this pose? The one youâre in right now?â
âWhich one?â I asked, trying not to smile too widely.
âThe one that makes me think I could just carry you right now,â he said, his grin mischievous. âDangerous for my heart⊠and my self-control.â
I laughed, leaning back into him slightly. âAnd yet⊠you havenât carried me yet.â
âOh, I will,â he said, catching me lightly in his arms before I could react, holding me steady. âBut only if you promise not to fight it.â
âI promise,â I said breathlessly, letting him lift me and feel the weight of him beneath my hands. He set me down gently, just far enough to rest against him, his arms snaking around my waist, fingers brushing along my lower back.
âYou feel so⊠perfect,â he murmured, pressing his forehead to mine. âI canât believe youâre mine.â
âAnd I canât believe Iâm yours,â I whispered, letting my hands slide into his hair. His fingers tangled in mine, stroking gently, massaging my scalp, and I shivered at the tenderness of it.
He laughed softly, the sound full of amusement and affection. âYou know, Iâve been waiting all day to just⊠be close to you like this.â
âWell, lucky for you,â I said, tilting my head up to meet his lips in a soft, lingering kiss. âYou finally get your wish.â
We kissed slowly, deliberately, exploring each other with nothing but care and affection. Every brush of his lips against mine, every lingering touch of his hands on my back, made me feel adored. He pulled back slightly, resting his forehead against mine again.
âI love this,â he said quietly, brushing his thumb along my cheek. âNot just⊠you know⊠everything. But this. Just being near you, feeling you, laughing with you, teasing each other⊠itâs the best part of my day.â
I smiled, leaning into his touch. âMine too. I feel like⊠like weâve got this little world all to ourselves.â
âAnd we do,â he replied, his voice low, warm, and reassuring. âAnd I never want it to end.â
I rested my head against his chest, listening to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat, feeling safe and cherished and deeply loved. His hands stroked my hair, traced my back, and held me close, grounding me in a way only he could.
After a long pause, I tilted my head up, brushing my lips against his jaw softly. âYouâre impossible,â I said, smiling.
âI know,â he replied, pressing a soft kiss to my temple. âAnd I love it. I love you⊠impossibly.â
We stayed wrapped in each otherâs arms for what felt like hours, laughing quietly, whispering little secrets, stealing soft kisses, and just being together. There was no rush, no need for anything elseâjust the kind of intimacy that was tender, playful, and infinitely reassuring
