note: there are different ways everyone alters coloring. for me, this is how i learned how to do it and it’s the easiest for me. feel free to add/change my steps as you use this tutorial. 

to start off, what i recommend is having a good base coloring. as you can see from the original gif, it is very vibrant and colorful which is perfect for changing colorings on a gif! 

so first, you wanna select the adjustment layer button which is the circle that’s half-filled where your tools are! once you do, click selective color which is located on the bottom of the options.

next, you’ll wanna play around with the colors. please be aware that every single gif is different and you will most likely have the tweak it to get the right coloring for you! and if you don’t want the color purple, then just tweak the other colors! these steps are just guidelines and you can change these gifs to blue, green, red, or even yellow! but since purple is the easiest to manipulate, that’s what i decided to work with. and this is what i did for this specific gif. i’ve only changed the blue, the cyan, the green, and the magenta. these are the exact settings.

once you’ve done that, your gif should look like this.

and finally, all you had to do is add a psd. the one i used can be found here. note: make sure that the selective color layer is above the psd if you use the one i use!

then after that, you are done and your gif should look like this!
