like with lee soo he tried to keep his feelings for woo yeon hidden for so long that now when he finally wants to be with her he actually can’t. he also tried so hard to be a ‘bad boy’ who cares about no ones feelings but ohhh he cares... maybe a little too much. we all know his issues stem around what happened with his parents.

with woo yeon she spent so much time pining after this one guy even after being rejected she never fully tried to get to the root cause of her commitment issues because I’m sure there’s more to it then ‘I’ve only liked lee soo for 10 years’ when he wasn’t even around for most of the time. I think for her saying she liked lee soo for so long was a way to not address her own personal issues with relationships.

Jaebum had planned the day very carefully, wanting this day to be extra special. Their anniversaries had always slipped past them before they realized it, work putting a constant strain on their relationship, but Jaebum desperately wanted to try and make up for those missed dates. When you’ve been close with someone for over a decade, it’s easy to lose track of time once a deeper relationship forms. As far as Jaebum is concerned, the day they met at those silly auditions is the day that their relationship began, but there’s always an occasion to celebrate making things official. 

He watched Jinyoung now, as the younger one looked out over the mountains and the setting sun, and didn’t think Jinyoung had ever looked more gorgeous. Then again, he felt Jinyoung looked better every day. He wrapped an arm around his love’s shoulder and kissed his cheek. 

Jinyoung smiled and looked at him. “This is great. This view is amazing. I can’t believe you kept this a secret from me for so long without me finding it out,” he said with a grin. Jaebum let out a chuckle. 

“Well, the busiest times are the best time to plan a getaway that isn’t so stressful,” he explained. “You’re pretty distracted then, too, with filming and everything.” Jaebum waved his hand a bit, clearing away smoke from the little campfire that was trying to blow in their faces. 

“You know, even if we had stayed home and did nothing but lay around, I would have loved it just as much,” Jinyoung said. Jaebum nodded. 

“I know, but that’s not good enough. You deserve mountain sunsets and moonlit beach walks, reading in a cool glade in the summer under a canopy of old, big trees. You deserve more than I can even think of.” He rested his head against Jinyoung’s and watched as the sun painted the sky in deep purples and blues, clouds rolling in just over the sunset. “I love you, and staying at home being lazy is nice, but I want to give you more than the mundane.”

Jinyoung soaked up his words and let out a slow, content exhale, cuddling up into Jaebum’s side. “I love you, Bummie.”
