On a semi-related note, pretty much all of the female Forsaken have a believable reason for turning evil whereas only Aginor and Ishmael on the male side do.

Ishmael is a philosopher. If you've ever taken a philosophy class and had to deal with the unit during the later part of the Enlightenment, where everyone is basically playing 'gotcha' with one another's logic, you'd lose it and decided nihilism was the answer too.
