I added this book to my want to read list a few years ago when I was super depressed and worried constantly.
I’m in a much better mental state now, but I still worry at times, so I decided to start reading this. It’s really good so far. Even though it was written in the 50s, it’s still very relevant today.
In one of the chapters, they discuss how distracting yourself with busy work and tasks helps keep your mind from worrying too much. I find this very true. I work 40-50 a week, and make sure to give myself fun/healthy/productive tasks to do during my down time, and I find that I worry less, and my overall mood is better.
There’s a lot more to the art of worrying less, but I found it very reassuring that keeping busy can keep the mind at bay.
