Ways to detect worldhoppers (other than Hoid):
They’re short
They’re tall
They swear strangely
They have something they shouldn’t
They have something they should but are overly curious about it
They know simultaneously more and less than they should about the setting
They hint at things they shouldn’t know
They hint at things nobody knows
They hint at things everybody already knows
They ask questions the pov character doesn’t know the answer to
They ask questions the pov character DOES know the answer to but never considered asking themself before
They use magic which the pov character hasn’t seen before
They use magic which the pov character doesn’t recognize as magic
They know about the cognitive realm… like. At all.
They use the word “Investiture”, “Shard”, “Intent”, etc.
They don’t like Hoid (bar two (2) exceptions)
If we get a second season of Murderbot, my wish is that it would include the show Worldhoppers, and Worldhoppers would include a character played by an actor from one of the Stargate TV shows, since those were the inspiration for the concept behind Worldhoppers in the book. (And since Martha Wells is also a Stargate fan and wrote two tie-in novels, I'd like to think it could be wish fulfillment for her too and not just for me.) That's maybe the one specific thing I'd really want from another season, and for the rest of it, I'd be fine with being pleasantly surprised or just pleasantly pleased (lol) by the creative choices.
We should be Goncharoving Sanctuary Moon and Worldhoppers, just saying.
Galladon ELANTRIS GALLADON?
Galladon THE GRUMPY ELANTRIAN WHO RAODAN BEFRIENDED IMMEDIATELY GALLADON?

By the bye, is it just me or are the Rosharans surprisingly chill and unperturbed about meeting aliens (people from other planets) and also someone who claims to be ten thousand years old (Hoid)?
Like people get a little impressed sometimes but the vibe is like "cool, that's a little wild! But sure that might as well exist." and then just carry on adapting plans and perspectives to account for the new information.
Are we missing the crashouts? Are they just too gobsmacked by everything that's happened with "Honor is dead" and the Everstorm and the Fused and the Heralds and Radiants and so on that it's just another drop in the crazy pot? How do they find it so easy to accept "people from other planets" being in and around Roshar?
If Odium or Retribution was to create a new Unmade, why not just let it be able to understand ALL languages. Not just Rosharan ones. Every single language existing, or has existed, in the Cosmere. Retribution could sow chaos by allowing anyone to become fluent in another language that is specific for another planet and setting them on a path to go to said planet. So, we just need the Duolingo owl as an Unmade.
Just struck me (not related to my child leaving the room when there’s a cringe-worthy bit of romance/sex going on in a series we are watching at all, oh no, not at all) that ART could seriously piss MB off in arguments about their favourite shows by claiming stuff happened during that sort of scene (which MB missed due to its habit of fast forwarding such scenes), MB’s ignorance of which is leading it to misinterpret the action
It could have such fun
MB: [makes controversial but supportable claim regarding current plotline in Worldhoppers]
ART: You’re wrong: As you’d realise if you’d recognised the callback to what happened in episode 172 during the scene in the hot tub (which you’ve never actually watched)
