In 2024, Tokyo Disneyland launched a series of mini-festival events called Disney Pal-Palooza. The celebration began with “Minnie’s Funderland" (January-March 2024) and continued with “Donald’s Quacky Duck City" (April-June 2024), each featuring unique trash can designs. The latest addition, “Vanellope’s Sweet Pop World” (January-March 2025), celebrates the candy world imagined by Vanellope von Schweetz from the kart racing game Sugar Rush, as seen in the film Wreck-It Ralph. In true Tokyo tradition, we have a set of highly-themed cans: one for trash and another for recycling. Both feature a bright candy color motif and iconic shapes. The trash cans are light pink with sea-foam green trim, while the recycling cans are also light pink but accented with dark pink trim. Both sport branding for "Vanellope's Sweet Pop World." I'm thoroughly enjoying Tokyo Disneyland's efforts to align their trash cans with these mini-festival events.
