I feel like comedy nowadays are pre-written so that it won’t offend people, and that’s what kills it and makes it inherently unfunny to begin with.
I like comedies when it’s not afraid to get a little cringey.
Comedy simply doesn’t work if you sanitize it too much.
Doing my rewatch of scrubs, and a lot of the jokes are cut up or just straight up taken out and then the beginning of the joke doesn’t make sense anymore.

Is it just me or is anyone else bored to tears by those workplace sitcom slow burn ships that are clearly aping Jim & Pam? Ya know, they're both very nice and kinda awkward and/or quirky, they become friends, and one of them is completely oblivious to the other’s obvious interest and pining, probably because they're currently in a (subpar) relationship. Nearly every post-The Office quirky workplace sitcom has one of these and I 🙄😴. It speaks well of The Office’s legacy, but with the later shows it comes off as obligatory and perfunctory, at least to me. Like they're using a Jam-shaped cookie cutter. A dull one.
