Should you work even if you know your really sick? I ask this because I recently I found out that I have illness called colitis. Colitis is a bacterial infection in my colon and before I got my proper medication it was really hard for me to move around. I would get tried really easy, light headed, and dizzy. The issue with colitis is that you have constant vomiting and diarrhea. So I wouldn't only lose weight ( Before the infection I was at 240 lbs. Now I'm at around 198lbs) but also most of my electrolytes.
Just last week I lost my job because I was moving around way to much and I was throwing up at work and would lose all my energy. So when have to bend down I legit almost fainted because I become so tired.
So I ask the question again is right to work when you know that having such a sickness. We're a moving around way to much could be hazardous on the body?

Although I have been sick for the last few days, weeks, months?! I've been working most of the time and called in "only" 6 days this year so far, which is still a lot.
In Germany an employee is on sick leave for an average of 15-18 days per year, some studies say. I know that the numbers are way lower in other countries. But I don't know what to do about it. When I'm working while sick I'm not only coughing, sneezing, spreading my bacteria and viruses in my own office space, which I share with three other coworkers, but also in the whole office (hallway, kitchen, bathroom...), field service and public transportation.
And I don't think that contributes to public health at all. If you are contagious, you should isolate yourself...
I used to have IBS flare ups at work and I’d be called to help on the floor because they needed assistance and I’d have to find a delicate and professional way to tell my manager “YO CANT LEAVE THIS TOILET!! IF I GET UP ILL SHIT MYSELF IN FRONT OF THE CUSTOMERS”
Somehow they never understood that I can’t just turn on and off my illness. And LOOORDDD knows I couldn’t use sick days, that’s wasn’t allowed.
