For anyone curious about my "process" (yes, I do spend a lot of time sitting cross-legged on my bed, hippie style, lol) & this time I'm focusing on the ink portion of my "mixed media"... I almost always start by freehand drawing from a reference photo using some kind of ink (marker, ballpoint, or liquid alcohol ink) - this time it's an almost-depleted Sharpie. (I bend the hook back on the cap so I can easily find them!) I keep these on hand, because being almost out of ink means I can easily blend & get a "dry brush" effect. It's also fun, because - like a quill pen - you never know when it's going to spit out more ink than you expected, giving more "randomness"/"realness"/texture to your drawing.
I'm doing a great job at my actual job: monument protection in the building authority!
I've just written a short essay — in response to an e-mail from an applicant — on the best choice of plaster and colour for renovating a cemetery wall: Organics vs. Minerals, depending on the base, the cleaning and application process. It is not self-evident that the technical administrator gives such detailed information as a specialised company, but I can do it, so I do it, and my applicants and colleagues from the other specialist authorities thank me for it. Only the colleagues in my own organisation, whom I see every day but who have nothing to do with my work, don't appreciate my work. What counts for them is my sociability and not my professionalism. In fact, they have no idea what I'm actually doing at work.

Creating the best environment for an IT company involves a holistic approach that considers both physical and digital aspects. By focusing on location, layout, technology infrastructure, digital environment, and employee well-being, you can build a thriving and innovative IT company. Remember, the best environment is one that supports growth, fosters creativity, and ensures the well-being of its employees.
We must challenge the stigma and discrimination surrounding mental health.
We all have the right to live our lives free from stigma and discrimination in places like schools and workplaces.
Not a One Person Job
At a certain point in so many places, I want to make it clear: more money does not solve the issue. The issue is: Whatever you are asking the employee to do is not a one-person job. It is not even a one person who is paid very well job. If you have a project that requires 2 people, you should be hiring 3 just in case. Not hiring two, having one of the two leave, and then noticing that the one person hobbled along just fine so that’s proof this is a one person job. No! Our economy has been running on lean, small staff sizes, pinched hours and low pay. I want more money, too, BUT if given a choice between twice as much pay or an additional person on payroll, I’d like an additional person to help me complete this not-a-one-person-job.
A corollary, if you have a program where a single employee has an income equal to the total income of 20 other employees, lay-offs better start near the top. I am sure it is possible to find one top manager that is bungling it up, fire one person and then have your pick of several underlings that could make use of a promotion and a pay raise.
