Ugh just the last 2 shifts have been so hard on my poor little tootsies. 12 hours trapped in these foot prisons and they’re so sweaty and hot right now 👀

Alright!!! Finally done with the other shoe! These are going to be my babies now! They're steel toe Nautilus shoes. White slip on shoes that were ugly to look at. So, I got some Angelus brand leather paints, matte finish, and spray on leather waterproofing.

Each part of this design was made with Enjin, from Gachiakuta, in mind. Most of it pays homage to his tattoos. However, I managed to put in some refrences to both versions of his vital instrument, Umbreaker. This whole project was free-handed, with three refrence photos of Enjin's tattoos and his umbrella in both modes.

Honestly, if someone wanted to take this design and make it official Gachiakuta merch, I'd be happy. These turned out pretty good, but I won't ever do this design again. Same with selling them off. I won't do that. But, if it appeared for everyone to be able to get them at a reasonable price, I'd be happy.

I splurged on "good" work shoes. I bought Timberlands.

They cost me two days of work. Most expensive shoes I've ever bought for myself. First Name Brand shoes.

They were delivered last Thursday. It's now Tuesday.

I was walking around work today, third day I've worn them, and they are UNCOMFORTABLE. The insides are so hard I might as well be plapping around barefoot... and suddenly my shoe was really loose. I looked down to see if it had come untied, which would be odd since I had double knotted them.

Nope.

It broke.

Why aren't the tabs stitched in? These toe-protection WORK SHOES cost me $125 shipped, why aren't the tabs STITCHED. IN. ?

Today I had an appointment with my psychiatrist. He’s really proud of me, says I’m “doing the work”. When I updated him on my trip to Baltimore, the job hunt, getting a job, etc, he was like “you have severe depression, you have severe anxiety, and look at what you’re doing!” (I’m paraphrasing that last part, it was that sentiment, I just don’t remember the wording.) That made me feel good. He thinks I’m doing so well, in fact, that he lowered my Wellbutrin (one of four meds I’m on). I go back in six weeks to see how the med change is going and to see how I’m doing with the big change of starting a job.
