Roadmap to Learn Full Verbal: Your Guide to Mastering the Art of Words (Without Losing Your Mind)
Let’s be honest — tackling verbal skills can feel like trying to tame a wild beast. Grammar rules popping up like surprise quizzes, vocabulary that sounds like it’s from another planet, and reading comprehension passages longer than your last Netflix binge. But don’t worry, I’m here to guide you through this jungle with a roadmap that’s almost as fun as a Sunday brunch.
Step 1: Build Your Vocabulary — One Word at a Time
No, you don’t need to memorize the entire dictionary overnight (unless you’re a superhero). Start with high-frequency words and use flashcards, apps, or heck, even sticky notes on your fridge. Make it a game — challenge yourself to use a new word every day. “Obfuscate”? Perfect. Try it in a sentence before your morning coffee!
Step 2: Master Grammar Like a Pro (or at Least Like You Know What You’re Doing)
Think of grammar as the rules of a board game. You don’t want to flip the table midway through. Focus on the basics — subject-verb agreement, tenses, and common pitfalls like “their,” “there,” and “they’re.” And remember: commas are tiny ninjas that can change the whole meaning of a sentence.
Step 3: Practice Reading with Purpose
Don’t just read for the sake of reading. Pick articles, essays, or books that challenge you but don’t make you want to scream. Take notes, underline key points, and ask yourself: “What’s the author really saying?” This will sharpen your comprehension and critical thinking — skills that are gold in any verbal test.
Step 4: Write, Rewrite, Repeat
You learn language by using it. Write essays, summaries, or even tweets (because brevity is its own art). Get feedback, edit ruthlessly, and watch your skills bloom.
Bonus Tip: Don’t Fear Mistakes — They’re Your Best Teachers Every slip-up is a step closer to mastery. So, embrace the oops moments. They make for great stories later.
Ready to start your verbal journey? Grab your coffee, your notebook, and let’s make words your new best friends. Trust me — future you will thank you (and maybe even buy you a celebratory donut).
The World from The Light Seer's Tarot deck
Picture it, you've been strongly encouraged to share your love of tarot more widely. What, you wonder, is the right card to start this journey? And how can you be sure that you will pick the best card for your first post? As you shuffle, two cards pop out of the deck. The first—the Seven of Wands—cautions you against trying to make the "right" choice. Lol. The second—the Five of Wands—acknowledges the challenge of moving forward when there has been failure in the past. You didn't even realize that part of the anxiety of sharing the tarot (anything new, really), is the idea of starting over, trying again, stepping into the beginner space. Now that the tarot has lovingly nudged you away from the pressure of picking the right card, and wisely acknowledged the fear rumbling through you, you pick The World. What a beautiful and perfect card for the beginning of a new journey. This card was pulled from Chris-Anne's The Light Seer's Tarot deck. In her interpretation of the card, she connects The World to completion, new levels of consciousness, and joy. It is about that magical transition point where a phase of life has been successfully completed and the next level, the next journey now opens. It is a card of abundance, success, and happy endings. In other words, we're going to make it, y'all.
I've been thinking about "the self," a lot. And which parts of the self are truly ours and which were constructed to help us navigate the wilds of the world. For me, this journey is about integration of my deeper self with my surface self. Bringing the parts of me I protect most fiercely out into the world. The World is also a card of travel. As we travel and navigate our lives, we're constantly called upon to evolve and develop new strengths and strategies. If you're going through tough times, this card is a sign of good things to come. Why? Because the world keeps turning. We keep journeying. As an energy reader told me two decades ago when I was going through a VERY TOUGH time, if things aren't working, then it ain't over yet. Keep going. I love the light and balance in this card. I hope it feels you with sunny feelings of optimism and hope. Take a moment to whisper or shout out a journey that means the world to you. If The World card were a magic passport to the success of your dreams, where would it take you? Let's speak it out loud. Word magic is the first step to taking action and manifesting your dreams. Sending good vibrations for your highest good and its power to activate the highest good for the world.

How difficult it is to find a human who feels everything as intensely as you do, not everybody understands that.
