"I tell you a mystery: It has been appointed to those who are born twice to die once, but by no means shall they die a second time. Yet those who do not come to Me in repentance shall be born once and die twice. Yet there are some among this generation who shall never taste death, having already passed from judgment into life. Thus to My chosen elect, there is a death of the body unto resurrection. Yet for those still living at My return, there is a death of another kind - the crucifying of your old man with his sinful ways, the putting on of the new man who is renewed in the knowledge of the Truth, restored in the image of Him who created him.[1] Thus when one is born into this world, the child and the mother suffer the pangs of childbirth, until the birth is complete. In the same way, those born of the Spirit shall suffer travail. For they are not yet separated from their flesh or this world, in which they continually stumble.

So then, being born again is the process By which you are restored in the image of God, A continual washing, until you come into glory…

The Book of Wisdom as a sapiential book teaches how the wisdom of God acted in the human history. And one of the most important messages of this book is that only in God is the true power to punish or bless. That is why true spirituality, or spirituality properly understood, consists in fearing God and not men. If men are more attentive to what others think of them and forget how God judges, that is when the problems begin. The fear of God is the bond of union with God, and those who live this spiritual gift above all other things are blessed, joyful, and happy. The spiritual gift of fear of God is defined as constancy, firmness, devotion, equanimity, and stability. And the Book of Wisdom reminds us of a very interesting story about this subject, the story of the bronze serpent related in the Book of Numbers. Many Israelites during the journey with Moses to the promised land had lost their fear of God and began to speak against God and Moses, so God punished the Israelites with poisonous snakes. Moses prayed to God, and the Lord ordered him to make a bronze serpent and so those who were bitten when they saw the image were healed. Thus the Israelites repented of their sin against God and recognized the sovereignty of the creator; as a conclusion of the teaching, only God should be truly feared and not mortals. With these words remind the Book of Wisdom this spiritual truth: "You have power over life and death. You lead people down to the gates of hell, and you bring them back up again. Humans can indeed kill by their evil, but they can't bring back the life that has expired or restore the spirit that has been taken away" Wisdom 16:13-14.

In this relationship, I am alone With a man who only thinks of his own His words are excuses, empty and thin As he ignores the pain he causes within

I pour out my heart, but he won't listen He only hears his own voice and ambition His promises are shallow and soon forgotten While my pain and frustration remain unspoken

I thought love was selfless, but he proves me wrong With each passing day, my heart feels less strong I crave his attention, his love and his care But all he gives is apathy and despair

I wonder how long I can carry on this way In a relationship where I am just a castaway I dream of a love that's true and pure But with him, I know that's just a lure

So I must be brave and walk away From a man who only causes me dismay I deserve a love that's kind and true And I won't settle for less, no matter what I do.
