I'm hoping the two of these match in wpi and meterage. I've been practising spinning for so many years. Surely I can make two skeins of the same fibre blend from the same store match.

Cannot wait to show you the version I ended up going with. (I may use this for something else.)
Fucking YAK.
I have given up every other way to spin this stuff.
Don’t get me wrong, I love it. I love it so much but I CANNOT get it to work.
Maybe if my carder had a higher tpi I could blend it successfully without just making neps.
I cant spin it alone, the staple length is so small and the fiber is so fine, that the singles just pull apart, even with high twist. Plus it’s so soft and fluffy, to rope it up with a super high twist would be an internationally prosecutable crime.
I’ve tried blending it on a board. By hand into clouds. With wool. With silk, both cut up into pieces and long. Everytime I end up with big clumps in my yarn and going inch by inch, painstakingly separating it to spread it out.
So I finally said screw it. I’m taking the wool / yak blend I’ve already made (full of neps bc my carder tore it up :[ ) and I’m holding a fluffy chunk of the yak, spinning it together pinch by pinch. Embracing the slow fiddliness of the process.
This will be my lost labor intensive yarn to date but I am determined to use this buttery bouncy beautiful fiber. It is rare and it is my treasure and I will love it into submission.
attempting a blending board bath of merino and dog fur. This was my first try, and I did notice some clumps of fiber where it hadn’t quite blended at all. Trying again soon!!!

First time spinning dyed fiber. Lovely blend of Merino wool and bamboo rayon. The bamboo's more slippy than I'm used to compared to 100% wool, but I'm getting the hang of it and the overall blend is exquisitely soft.
When it snows I always bust out the wool blends! This is Woolly Wormhead's Headcase Beanie in Lion Brand Wool Ease (colorway Hecate).
