MV!Tandem loves their dad, and grows up idolizing him like almost every Tandem. However, their shy personality and search for knowledge outside of battle tactics has them stray farther and farther from his influence, until they have a major falling out with him one day.
The two go their separate ways, and barely talk until Tandem gets news of Overlord's demise by the hands of Springer...
