"A gambit has to be made. A crocodilian's eye can't be fooled; with the flowchart of experience riveting his mind, Gulf can determine in 170 milliseconds a reaction for an appropriate punish. But TJ's gambit can't pride itself from forcing Gulf's hand; the visitor has no quals. No; he's too predic-table.  Gulf kicks the table with enough force to bounce it off the tight ropes of the ring. The table slides through the mat, distracting the wolf's eyes for a split moment. A mistake that illusions Gulf into a speedster. By the time TJ realizes what's being done, inertia does it's natural job. Like gear and clockwork, the machine does it's move. Gulf sidesteaps, sliding his right leg and preparing both arms for a grab. Like a counterweight lever, the wolf's body elevates and floats to chest-height and he feels claws clench on both back and snout. TJ blinds himself by the hanging spotlights, and with his eyesight interrupted, his ears catch the final noise of the table returning to its place.
