Do you think Umji ever buried her face into Mingyuâs chest and tried to motorboat him?
MY ANSWER IS YES. this has huge drunk!Umji energy lmao I've always felt like Umji gets kinda silly when she drinks so this is something she'd do after a few beers and it would make Mingyu BLUSH LIKE HELL

Mingyus Birthday or How Wonwoo learned to cook Chapter 2 - Wonwoos Birthday
It's Wonwoos Birthday and Mingyu is still not over his surprise.
Day -14, Motivation 100%
Mingyu was fit again. His foot was fully healed from his long rest. As soon as he was allowed out of bed and no longer needed to rest, his state of mind recovered. Maybe that was because Wonwoo spent more time with him after his birthday. And that after bed rest he could focus on training (although he still had to take it slow).
The series he had last watched was forgotten (he didnât even remember which series it was and what happened last), he hadnât turned on the game anymore and his jealousy, especially towards Seungcheol, had also disappeared. His life was perfect again - except for Wonwoos birthday and he had absolutely no idea what to do. His boyfriend had come up with something special for his birthday and what did Mingyu think of? Nothing⌠He almost thought about stealing Wonwoos idea and going camping with him â but he decided against it because it wasnât especially thought up for Wonwoo. And it wasnât until he was hanging out at Seungcheols (like he said his jealousy was gone) and watching him play a game that he got the idea. If Wonwoo learned to cook for him, he would learn to play his favorite games.
~
Something was wrong with Mingyu. For the last few days, he had seemed thoughtful and wasnât really himself. He didnât want to say what was wrong with him, either. Or did he not even notice it himself? In any case, Wonwoo sensed something was wrong. And since Mingyu didnât want to talk to him, he had persuaded Seungcheol to spend the evening with Mingyu. Maybe this one would find out something.
Seungcheol did not disappoint him as he was sent a picture of Mingyu. Mingyu sat...in front of Seungcheols computer?
Look forward to your birthday ;)
Day -13, Motivation 97%
Yesterday had been a disaster. At least his plan. Seungcheol was way too strict. Mingyu wasnât really into computer games. Sure, he sometimes watched Wonwoo to spend time with him, and he played himself from time to time. But like them to spend a lot of his free time? No...he really wasnât like that. But he wanted to be good enough for Wonwoo to win a team fight with him. Absolutely!
âYou are so bad, Mingyu,â Seungcheol criticized, dampening his mood. But Mingyu didnât complain. He wasnât allowed to. Not because he was afraid that Seungcheol wouldnât help him anymore, but because Seungcheol had made it clear from the start. Tz! With Wonwoo, he certainly had put no conditions on when he helped him.
But he wouldnât give up! He gritted his teeth, ignoring Seungcheols nagging, and tried to memorize the various keyboard shortcuts he needed for the game.
~
He didnât mind too much that Mingyu was with Seungcheol again. After all, Wonwoo would be up late and would see him later. And he often received pictures from Seungcheol.
He is so bad. Donât look forward to it
Wonwoo smiled as he looked at the latest image, which showed Mingyu ruffling his hair in frustration with a game over on-screen in the background. It was a nice idea, but Wonwoo could only hope Mingyu didnât take on too much. The two were too alike and could clash easily. But he wouldnât spoil the surprise. It was enough that Seungcheol had told him. Mingyu didnât need to know that Wonwoo already knew.
Day -11, Motivation 80%
He wasnât making any progress. They had switched games and maybe his jealousy had reignited a little since Seungcheol knew so well which games Wonwoo liked to play and which ones he didnât. To Mingyu, most all looked similar. It wasnât just because Seungcheol knew his stuff so well (Mingyu knew himself that the two were friends and shared this hobby), but because Wonwoo didnât mind at all that Mingyu was gone every single day, too. Every single day! Well⌠he was often gone every day. Argh! He mustnât throw himself into jealousy like that again.
He finished teaching by Seungcheol early and went home.
âHuh? Home that early? Didnât you have something else to do?â
Of course, Wonwoo was sitting in front of his computer. Like almost every day. Mingyu walked up to him, took a quick look at the screen (Urgh. He played that game yesterday and lost miserably) and when he was sure he wasnât interfering with Wonwoo, he wrapped his arms around Wonwoo from behind. âI missed you,â he replied to Wonwoo.
âShould I stop?â
With this question, his jealousy dissolved. âNo. I just want to be with you.â Mingyu pulled away from Wonwoo so he wouldnât get in the way of this one playing and pulled the second chair next to Wonwoo. He sat on it and was happy to watch Wonwoo play. He needed that today. No teaching, just being around his boyfriend.
~
Mingyu was acting weird. First, he came home from Seungcheol earlier than usual, and then he was so clingy. Had something happened between them? Wonwoo hadnât received any message from Seungcheol. However, he couldnât bring it up either without Mingyu noticing that he knew his secret.
He was distracted by Mingyus presence and wasnât relaxed, so he ended the game and turned to Mingyu. âWould you like to play as well?â
He saw Mingyus eyes widen and he shook his head hastily. Wonwoo suppressed a grin. Mingyu tried a lot to keep his secret.
âGood.â He stood up and stretched.
âAre you finished?â
Wonwoo grinned after all and looked down at Mingyu. âI missed you and want to spend time with you.â
He could see how good the words did Mingyu. His face lit up. Wonwoo really had to check with Seungcheol if everything was ok. But that would have to wait until tomorrow.
Day -7, Motivation 36%
It... just didnât get any better. It was so frustrating! They had tried different games. And it wasnât any fun anymore. Mingyu wasnât thaaaaaat bad, but according to Seungcheol, it wasnât nearly enough to play on the same level as Wonwoo. It would cost Wonwoo the victory and he didnât want that. He wanted to have a nice day of gaming with Wonwoo (or at least a few hours) and then Wonwoo should win too! And donât lose, especially because of Mingyu. How could he get better in a week?
âMingyu, just give it up. Think of something else. This isnât going to work.â
âNo,â Mingyu replied through gritted teeth, ignoring the Game over that taunted him for the 100th time. He couldnât think of anything else now! Wonwoos birthday was in a week. In a week! How could he come up with another idea? Wonwoo had also been experimenting for a long time. âI can do it!â
Seungcheol sighed. âYou just donât know what else to get him, do you?â
âOf course not!â He wouldnât admit it in front of Seungcheol. But he wanted to do something special for Wonwoo. He just didnât really know what.
âOkay. Then one more. And Mingyu remember.â
âYeah yeah, keep my eyes on the whole screen.â He rolled his eyes before restarting the game.
~
Mingyus mood was terrible. Worse than the last few days. Seungcheol had warned him. But Wonwoo hadnât expected it to be so bad. It could not go on like that.
âMingyu?â Of course, Wonwoo was sitting in front of his computer. Only Mingyu didnât come to him this time. He heard the front door slam and then nothing. Mingyu neither looked in at him nor greeted him.
âMingyu?â he called again. And finally, Mingyu showed up. His expression was closed. Wonwoo didnât want that. That Mingyu only suffered because of him.
âMingyu...you donât have to go through with this, okay?â Even though he revealed that he knew Mingyus secret...it was more important that his boyfriend got his spirits up again. It was useless if he continued to torment himself.
âWhat? You knew about it?â
Wonwoo nodded and stood up. âCoups told me. He-â
âThis⌠he didnât tell me about your surprise at the time! But heâll tell you about it straight away!â Mingyu was indignant.
âI asked him not to tell you. Donât blame him, okay?â
âOf course, youâre on his side again!â
He couldnât take Mingyu seriously at the moment. âOh, Mingyuâ Wonwoo went to him and took Mingyus hands. âHeâs just worried about you. You donât have to think of anything special for me. Itâs enough for me if youâre there. When we do something together. Just spending time together. Thatâs enough for me.â
âBut not me!â Mingyu pulled his hands away from him, but before Wonwoo could say anything, he hugged him and buried his face in the crook of Wonwoos neck. âI wanted to give you something special, too. A special moment. I love you. I love you so much. I wanted to show you.â
âI know it.â
âYouâre not changing my mind!â Mingyu insisted. It sounded poutier now. That was a good sign.
âShall I teach you? Maybe Coups is just a bad teacher?â He knew it wasnât true. Mingyu probably knew it too. But it worked and that counted. Mingyu broke away from him. âOkay. But can you act a little surprised, okay?â
Wonwoo laughed and kissed Mingyu. âOf course. Anything for you.â
Day -6, Motivation 89%
The thought of having todayâs lesson with Wonwoo put him in a better mood. Even if he was still mad at Seungcheol. He should keep Mingyus secret to himself! Just because he hadnât explicitly said it didnât mean that he had to tell Wonwoo straight away. Seungcheol should confide in him one more time!
âCan you show me how to play first?â Mingyu asked. Heâd watched it countless times before, but now it was time to learn.
âI? Mingyu, you know you donât have to copy me? You have to find your own way. Show me how you play.â
Damn. He wanted to learn a few more tricks. Now he was getting a little nervous. Wonwoo saw now how little he had improved. He gritted his teeth, stared at the screen, and started the game.
Wonwoo didnât say anything and Mingyu tried to block him out. Still, it was enough to make him feel bad. He tilted his head back as the familiar Game Over appeared on the screen.
âYouâre not bad at all, Mingyu. You just need a little more practice. You have to get faster. But thatâs not bad.â
He wasnât bad at all. Mingyu was not hopeless as Seungcheol had described him. He wasnât bad at all. He beamed like it was the best compliment heâd ever received. Maybe it was.
Wonwoo got up and stood behind him. âTry again, okay?â
Wonwoos voice was way too close to his ear. He felt his weight as Wonwoo leaned against him and stretched out his arm and put his hand on Mingyus to control the mouse with him. It was...uff...how was he supposed to focus on the game like that? Feeling Wonwoo so close...in that position...he had other thoughts than some stupid game.
~
Shouldnât he have praised Mingyu? He just wanted to help him, but Mingyu died much faster than the first time.
âIt doesnât make any sense like that. Iâm going to Seungcheol!â Mingyu shouted as soon as the Game Over appeared on the screen and stood up. Wonwoo took a step back. What was the matter now?
âSee you later.â
Wonwoo looked confused after him. Wasnât he aware of something?
Since he no longer wanted to play, he sat down in the living room with a book. Maybe Mingyu would explain it to him when he came back.
Day -5, Motivation 117%
âShow me how to defeat Wonwoo.â
It was no longer about playing with this one. No. He wanted to play against him. He wanted to show him he was good. Not just ânot badâ. He wanted to be good enough to defeat Wonwoo. And then request a wish. That one wish...heâd had it since his birthday...but had only realized it yesterday. And now he couldnât wait any longer.
âDefeat Wonwoo? This is going to be difficult. I thought you wanted to learn how to play properly.â
âNo. It does not work. Show me all the tricks you know so I can defeat Wonwoo. Once is enough.â
Seungcheol seemed to spur this task on again as he immediately sat up straighter. âOkay, letâs get started!â
âAnd donât tell Wonwoo something about our lessons again.â It was safe to say. He couldnât risk Wonwoo taking any advantage from Seungcheol because he knew Mingyus weaknesses. Of which there were probably many.
~
He waited. Not for Mingyu. Wonwoo knew his boyfriend was with Seungcheol. Whatever yesterday happened, it had spurred Mingyu on. Wonwoo was already in bed and Mingyu didnât show up. He knew from Seungcheol that Mingyu slept over at Seungcheols today. It⌠it bothered him. But he couldnât complain. After all, he had done that before Mingyus birthday. No, he understood him (a little). He didnât wait for Mingyu. He was waiting for an update from Seungcheol on how things were going. But nothing came. No picture. No message. Absolutely nothing.
Instead, he got a message from Mingyu.
Get ready to die
Wonwoo laughed. He was curious. Mingyu clearly seemed to take it seriously.
Day 0, Motivation 106%
Mingyu was nervous. He had agreed with Seungcheol on a game (where he could most likely beat Wonwoo), but Seungcheol was only 64% confident that Mingyu could beat Wonwoo. It was more than half, but far too little. But Mingyu believed in himself. He had made the necessary preparations and even bought everything for his wish. He just had to win!
He had agreed with the others that they could come by in the morning (which, unfortunately, they did). Not that he didnât begrudge Wonwoo the company of the others...but HE wanted to do something with his boyfriend. And Mingyu wanted to finally get it over with. He hoped so much that he would make it. Luckily, Wonwoo knew because Mingyu hadnât done anything special after getting up. He wouldnât admit that in front of Seungcheol (in front of Wonwoo maybe).
But the later it got, the more nervous Mingyu got. If he couldnât do that, he would have given up Wonwoo for nothing lately. And his wish would not be granted.
âNervous Mingyu?â Mingyu looked up when Seungcheol wanted to say goodbye. Well finally! Not only Seungcheol but also Seokmin and Soonyoung wanted to say goodbye. The last three nuisances that kept him from his togetherness with Wonwoo. âYou can do it. Make me proud, yes?â
Mingyu gave him a grin and nodded. He would try.
~
Whatever Seungcheol had said to Mingyu when he said goodbye seemed to work. Mingyu was completely different all day. It almost seemed like he was nervous. Nervous! Because of a surprise, which wasnât one anymore. Why did Mingyu take this so seriously? But it was amusing to watch...amusing and touching at the same time. No matter how the rest of the day went, it meant a lot to Wonwoo how much time Mingyu took for something so âmundaneâ. For him.
âAre you ready to die, Wonwoo?â Mingyu asked when the last guests left.
Wonwoo laughed. âWith you always.â He took Mingyus hand, which he held out to him, and Mingyu pulled him up and to himself. He put his other arm around Wonwoo and they locked eyes. Wonwoo raised an eyebrow. âIs this an attempt to make me nervous?â
âIs it any good?â Mingyu asked, grinning. He leaned towards Wonwoos lips, but he wanted to tease Mingyu a little, so he backed away and freed himself from Mingyus grip. âNot in the least.â
Mingyu gave him a pouty look which made him laugh again. âSo...what are you up to today?â
Immediately, the pout disappeared from Mingyus face and he looked determined. âWe will do a gaming tournament. Five rounds. If you win all rounds, you get to decide what we do for the rest of the day. If I win even one round, then I can make a wish and you have to go along with it. Okay?â
Wonwoo remembered Mingyus request. He put on an overly surprised face. âWhat? A gaming tournament? And you really think you can beat me once?â
Mingyu grabbed his hand and gently pulled him to his computer.
Mingyu lost the first game. Quite fast. It occurred to Wonwoo to deliberately not play well, but he immediately dismissed it. Mingyu wouldnât like that. He was trying, so Wonwoo had to try his best to win honestly. However, in the second game, Wonwoo lost. It wasnât that he wasnât paying attention. It wasnât that Mingyu was just lucky or that Wonwoo made it easy for him. No. He won just like that. It surprised Wonwoo a little himself. And at the same time, he was proud of Mingyu.
âWonwoo! You shouldnât let me win.â
âHa? I didnât let you win!â
âPlease donât take me for a fool. I can do it without your help.â
âOkay. Sorry. I wonât make it easy for you anymore.â There was no point in saying otherwise. Mingyu wouldnât believe him. And he really won.
In the third game, he tried even harder. Mingyu had really gotten better. Much better. It seemed like he knew about Wonwoos weaknesses. Probably Seungcheol had specially trained him to do this. But thatâs what made the whole âtournamentâ entertaining. Even if Mingyu lost the third and fourth games. As promised, Wonwoo didnât make it easy for him. And yet he hoped that Mingyu would make it. If Mingyu didnât win the last game, should he ask to make Mingyus wish come true? Would Mingyu allow that?
~
Mingyu gritted his teeth as they started the last game. After trying to let him win, Wonwoo had tried harder afterward. But Mingyu didnât give up. He still had a chance. His last chance. He stretched again shortly before and gave Wonwoo a quick look. He just had to win against this one!
âFighting Mingyu,â Wonwoo gently encouraged him and Mingyu got warm. He knew Wonwoo wouldnât go easy on him in the last game, either. And all of that just made the âYou winâ even sweeter at the end.
âAhhhh I did it!â Mingyu slumped back in his chair and looked satisfied at Wonwoo.
âYou did really well,â Wonwoo praised him and Mingyu felt ten times better. He got up and stretched again before offering his hand to Wonwoo. âReady to grant my wish?â
âI promised you, didnât I? What is your wish?â Wonwoo took his hand and let Mingyu help him up.
âI want to teach you how to cook.â
âCooking?â Wonwoo frowned and Mingyu nodded. âI want to teach you. Today. Iâve already bought everything we need.â
âOkay.â Wonwoo didnât seem really convinced. He probably didnât know why Mingyu expressed this wish. But Mingyu couldnât tell. Wonwoo would only tease him about it!
âLet yourself be surprised, yes?â He pulled Wonwoo forward a bit, put his arms around him from behind, and led him to their kitchen.
âI didnât expect to have to cook for my birthday.â
âThen you should have tried harder,â Mingyu whispered in his ear before laughing and breaking away from Wonwoo. He took the things he had bought out of the fridge. While Mingyu got the things from the other closets that they also needed, Wonwoo grabbed something. âWould you like me to cut that while you-â
âNo!â Mingyu hurriedly interrupted him. Argh! Why was Wonwoo just like that? He wanted to hold a nice romantic cooking class here. Not cooking fast food. âI wanted to teach you how to cook,â he repeated his wish.
Wonwoo looked at him in surprise and slowly put the vegetables back. âBut you can do that? I just thought it wouldnât take us that long?â
Wonwoo still didnât understand what Mingyu was all about. Tz! Did he have to tell him everything? It was so difficult for him to say the essential things out loud. He pouted. âI wanted to spend time with you. I wanted to teach you how to cook. Be stupid. Please.â He tried again before he had to say his real wish.
But finally, Wonwoo seemed to understand because he laughed. âOkay. Show me how to cut vegetables, Mingyu. I have no idea about anything.â
Mingyu enjoyed standing behind Wonwoo, wrapping one arm around his stomach, and resting his head on his shoulder. He grabbed Wonwoos left hand with his left hand and grabbed the knife. Apparently, Wonwoo understood now, because Wonwoo raised his right hand and held the washed vegetables. âIs that how you imagined it?â He heard the smirk in Wonwoos voice as he guided Wonwoos left hand and they started chopping the vegetables together.
Mingyu turned his head and whispered in his ear, âShut up and let me do it, okay?â
He felt Wonwoo lean against him. They didnât talk much as they cut the vegetables. âIf we do it like this every time, I could easily get used to cooking.â Wonwoos voice was also quiet. It sent a shiver down Mingyus spine. âThen weâll do it like this. If we have time, Iâll teach you how to cook and then you can show me your games. Just like this.â
Apparently, Wonwoo had finally understood what Mingyu was all about. He laughed softly before turning in Mingyus grip and pulling him to kiss him. âThank you, Mingyu,â he whispered against Mingyus lips. âHappy Birthday,â Mingyu whispered before kissing Wonwoo again. âNow, back to cooking!â
âMingyu wait!â Wonwoo called out as soon as he left the restaurant.
Mingyu stopped and Wonwoo slowed his pace so he wouldnât be out of breath when he got to him.
âWhat... whatâs going on here? Where do I know you from? Why...why do I have your voice in my head? Why did I dream about you...?â
Mingyu slowly turned around. He looked uncertain and desperate. He flapped his hands and seemed to search for words. âIâŚâ
âPlease answer me.â
âIâm a... Iâm so... I didnât want to... I didnât know... usually...â Mingyu couldnât get a sentence out.
Wonwoo didnât know why he knew this, but he grabbed Mingyus hands to calm him down. It stopped his stammering. But his expression only got more unhappy.
âNobodyâs going to rip your head off. If you know something, please tell me. Iâm confused.â
He saw Mingyu swallow. âIâm a telepath!â It then shot out of him. He wanted to steal his hands from Wonwoos and probably run away, but Wonwoo quick-witted linked their fingers together and didnât let Mingyu pull away.
A telepath.
Mingyu was a telepath. He realized the words but didnât know why Mingyu said them like it was the answer to all his questions. What did that mean?
âI made you experience things. Let you see. Listen. Taste. That was all me. None of it was real.â Mingyus lips didnât move and yet he heard his voice. How was it-
âIâm a telepath. I can talk to you in your head. I can read your mind. I can show you things.â His lips still didnât move.
âOkay,â said Wonwoo. None of this was real. âWhy... whyâŚ?â
âWhy am I doing this?â Wonwoo fixed his gaze on Mingyus lips. This time they moved. So he spoke again. âUsually...usually people donât notice when I do something like that. Yes, I do that more often. I didnât know you were so sensitive about telepathic abilities. I would never have done it with you otherwise, really! For others, itâs just a daydream, nothing more. They remember nothing after a few hours. Not of what they experienced and not of me.â
âAnd for you? Do you remember them?â
Mingyu looked surprised at his question. âI...yes. For me, itâs more than a daydream. I experienceâŚrelationships with people.â
âRelationships?â Wonwoo repeated. Mingyu withdrew a hand and Wonwoo allowed it. The meaning of what Mingyu said was difficult to understand. He had relationships with these people. Also⌠with him?
Mingyu sighed and ran his fingers through his hair. In all the scenes that he experienced (and still knew?) with Mingyu, he had never seen him like this.
âIâm not in real relationships anymore. As soon as people find out who or what I am, they distance themselves and leave. Thatâs why I choose people who are interesting. Iâll give them some daydreams. If theyâre interested, Iâll move on. I give them ideas of what it would be like for the two of us. How we would have a relationship. Live together. Love each other. Until it breaks.â
It sounded sad. To experience something like this only in your dreams. Wonwoo raised his free hand and placed it on Mingyus cheek. Mingyu closed his eyes and leaned against it. âWhy are you doing this to yourself, Mingyu?â He could see that Mingyu needed physical contact. He certainly didnât get this in his dreams.
âWhat of it... what was me? Did you also affect my actions? MyâŚâ Feelings? Mingyu could read his mind, right? He didnât have to say what was difficult for him. Mingyu would hear them.
âIt was all you. Iâm not directing you. After all, I wanted...I wanted to meet you. Not the idea I have of you. Only you.â Finally, Mingyus lips twisted into the grin that he had seen him so many times. What he had dreamed of so often? âYou were shy. It took me almost twice as many scenes as with others. But you were interested...you...still are, right?â
Was he interested? When he thought about the situation, when they were on the beach. He was attracted to Mingyu definitely. He thought about their first kiss in the hotel. Of their first date, when Mingyu saved him from his botched blind date. Oh, he was definitely interested.
It should bother him that Mingyu could read his mind. It should bother him that Mingyu showed him scenes that didnât turn out to be real. But if he looked at Mingyu...how could these things bother him? He was still confused, and it would probably take some time until he understood everything - but he didnât want to bother with such mundane things at the moment. He came here today to have a blind date. Because his friends said he was too lonely. At the beginning of the evening, he had not agreed with them. But now⌠now he realized what he was missing. He was lonely. Maybe just as lonely as Mingyu. And he had feelings for him. Whether it was already love, he couldnât say. But they were going there. And that... was enough, wasnât it?
When he remembered he had said nothing for a long time and was only busy with himself and his thoughts, he wanted to apologize before he remembered Mingyu could read minds. Would he always read his thoughts? Was...didnât he have anything to himself anymore?
âNo. Please donât think like that. I wonât always read your mind. I... just today. I need to be sure that you want me. That you are ready. I can make you forget everything. Forget us. Forget me. I will show you how to protect your mind from me, and I will not read your mind without asking.â
ForgetâŚMingyu? âNo. I do not want to forget you. Please Mingyu. I...Iâm ready for this. I think. I want to try. Please donât erase you from my memory.â
âOh, Wonwoo.â
They looked at each other in silence. Wonwoo couldnât really think of anything deep anymore. He looked into Mingyus eyes, remembered, and yet somehow thought of nothing.
âI donât want you to hate me,â came Mingyus tearful voice.
âI wonât. Definitely not. You showed me what it means to be loved. Do you remember our time at the aquarium? How could I hate you, Mingyu?â
âWhen you realize you donât love me and tell yourself I planted everything in your head. I... itâs happened before. I donât want to...I canât...â
But Wonwoo only shook his head gently. âDidnât you say Iâm not like everyone else? That I remember? Let me make my own thoughts on this. And that doesnât mean Iâm going to hate you. Okay?â
Mingyu nodded.
âGood. So can we kiss now? I want to know if it feels the same as in our dreams.â
A chuckle escaped Mingyu before complying with Wonwoos request. And it didnât feel any different. Neither better nor worse. It was just like their first kiss at the hotel. Like their kiss on the beach. Like the one on the train.
âYou remember a lot more than I thought.â Mingyus voice rang in his head. Maybe there were advantages to all of this.
Wonwoo broke away from Mingyu and grabbed his hand. âAre you ready for me to introduce you to my friends?â
Immediately, Mingyu seemed to get nervous again. âWhat? Now? But this is so new...what if they donât like me?â
It was Wonwoos turn to laugh at Mingyu. Not malicious but loving. âNew? I feel like Iâve known you for ages. They can see for themselves how good you are for me. How good you did me. Will do. Whatever. I also have the problem with my⌠blind date. Itâs not very nice to stand people up.â
Mingyu made a face. He had to know. About his blind date with Jun. He must have read it in his mind. It was a topic in their...dreams? He would still get the whole thing.
âYou know that Seungkwan just wants to introduce you to each other because Jun has a cat and you like cats?â
Wonwoo pulled Mingyu towards the entrance again. âYou donât have to be jealous. I will apologize. I wonât give him a chance. My heartâŚis taken.â Taking one look at Mingyu, his grin warmed his heart. He felt like a completely different person when he walked through the door the second time.
Seungkwan looked at him blankly as he walked over to their table with Mingyu.
âWhatâs the matter with you? First, youâre so abstractedly all evening and then you just disappear? Jun should be here any minute. Canât you please pull yourself together and make an effort to be a nice date? What should we do with you, Wonwoo? Youâll never find anyone.â
âHe almost sounds like heâs your mother.â He heard Mingyus voice in his head. Wonwoo pressed his lips together. It really cost him everything not to laugh now. Seungkwan would resent that and not even Vernon could help him then. He motioned for Mingyu to sit down.
âI...Iâm sorry,â he apologized. âAlso that nothing will come of the blind date. This is Mingyu. My boyfriend.â
If earlier it was difficult not to laugh, now it was almost impossible. But he made it. Seungkwans stunned face and Vernonâs shocked reaction were too amusing.
âSince when?â
âRecently. For ages.â Wonwoo replied with a shrug. âItâs still new,â he added. How could he explain that to them? He couldnât really understand it himself. Maybe he would someday when he knew exactly what was going on himself.
âAnd then you let me organize a blind date?â Seungkwan wanted to continue scolding him when his eyes fell on Mingyu again and he put his hand over his mouth. âOh. Sorry. Did he know that?â
âYes. I couldnât let him meet someone else. Please forgive us. I am pleased to meet you.â
Mingyu had apparently read from his thoughts the best way to proceed here. Or had he figured it out himself?
âIâm happy for you. You can tell how different he is around you.â Vernon piped up.
Wonwoo didnât know if it was somehow due to the telepathic connection, but he could sense how pleased Mingyu was with this statement.
âYes, it took me a long time to do this.â
It warmed his heart again. Especially when Mingyu put an arm over his shoulder and pulled him closer. He smiled at Mingyu and when he turned back to his friends; he saw Seungkwan wasnât angry with him anymore either.
âBut you explain to Jun why his blind date wonât happen.â
âLet that be my concern. I already have a person in mind that I think would be a good fit for Jun.â Mingyu intervened.
Wonwoo wasnât someone who met someone and ended up in bed with that person the same night. And actually, it wasnât like that. He had experienced so much with Mingyu. And if he had learned one thing, it was that he shouldnât think so much. And it felt right to take Mingyu home, knowing full well how this would turn out. Just like it felt right sitting on his sofa in the living room. It had cost him almost no overcoming to sit backward on Mingyus lap like he had done in the cat cafe.
âCan we talk about this?â
âAbout anything you want.â When Mingyu gave such a serious answer, Wonwoo smiled softly. Did he really think Wonwoo was angry about that?
âWhat was the first thing we dreamed? And who is Jihoon?â
Mingyu made a surprised face. âIâm not trying to read your mind,â he added.
Wonwoo put his arms around Mingyus neck and snuggled up to him. âGo ahead. Itâs fine todayâ
It was silent for a moment. Mingyu said nothing and Wonwoo enjoyed his closeness. Then he felt something. He felt Mingyus presence. Much closer, much more intimate.
âJihoon is my brother. I...you know few people who mean anything to you. I had to take someone from me. Our first meeting...it was your Christmas party. Iâm just trying to see if I even have a chance. Do I like the person? A waiter? Most forget that. Itâs easy.â
Mingyus voice rang in his head and Wonwoo closed his eyes.
âThen I test how fast I can proceed. With you, I had to go back a few times. Our first date when I rescued you... I felt your resistance. Even if you were curious. You would have gone with me. But if I had let it, you would have regretted it and then it would have been the end. I didnât want that. I didnât want to give up on you so easily. And yet you were interested. The thing about the cat cafeâŚit was you alone. Who would have thought you would have such preferences?â
That was⌠Wonwoo? That couldnât be. He hadnât even known it himself...that he was into something like that.
âI know a lot about you, Wonwoo.â Mingyu whispered. âThe only thing I regret...why did you have to wake up at that point? If you hadnât...it would have been the first time weâd had sex.â
Wonwoo opened his eyes. He moved a little away from Mingyu so that he could face him. âIâm glad about it. As nice as it was... I prefer to experience some things in reality first. Letâs go to bed?â
He got up and grabbed Mingyus hand. âYou just have to promise me that youâll be there tomorrow. Donât run away, Mingyu. Please.â
Mingyu got up. Instead of answering, he pulled Wonwoo into his arms. âNever.â

Wonwoo finally learns what all this is about - or does he?
And suddenly he woke up. At least he felt like waking up. But he hadnât slept.
âEverything okay?â
Mingyu stood in front of him. He knew it was Mingyu. Even if he still didnât understand how he knew the other but couldnât place him.
Wonwoo sat down differently on the barstool and only then realized that he was no longer in the water. He jumped up in shock.
âHey, calm down, Wonwoo.â
âWhat? I was just... what?â
âCalm down. Donât you remember?â
Wonwoo looked back at Mingyu. This one had other things on. Earlier, he was dressed more elegantly. And now his clothes seemed wilder. He glanced down at himself and was satisfied that he was no longer wearing his swimming shorts, but real clothes. At least he was spared this embarrassment.
âNo. Whatâs going on here?â
Mingyu looked at him, worried. âOh my, then I gave you too much. Do you really not remember that you went to a magical bar? I only made you 3-4 cocktails. But these arenât that tragic.â
A magic bar? Magic? He had never heard of magic. At least outside of books and films. Was Mingyu kidding him?
âMaybe I put in too much lovage. Iâm sorry.â
âMagic? I donât understand all this.â
âDonât you remember?â
Suddenly, it occurred to him. How could he forget? He had been bitten by a werewolf five months ago. Wonwoo felt his wound that was on his arm. It didnât heal. The werewolfâs bite would stay on his arm forever.
âYou wonât get any more drinks from me so soon after the full moon!â
Were they...friends? How did they know each other? Did Wonwoo come here often?
âCan you lose your memory from these cocktails?â
Mingyu laughed a little. The worry seemed to have fallen away from the other. âIt will be normal again soon. You only need a moment. What have you experienced?â
âWhat I have experienced?â
âItâs different for everyone. One wishes for a wild party. The other to spend time with his family. Being famous, having adventures, anything you could wish for. So, tell me, Wonwoo, what did you experience?â
Wonwoo sat down again. âCan I...can I get something non-magical?â
âSure.â
âI...I...dreamed about you? Experienced things with you? What is our relationship with each other, Mingyu?â
âAw, you dreamed about me?â Mingyus grin reappeared, baring his vampire fangs. Why hadnât he noticed them before?
âI believe. We... we met over and over again. Sometimes more and sometimes less. It felt like thousands of experiences. In a restaurant, in an amusement park, or at the zoo.â
âDid you think it was bad?â
Did he think it was bad? No, not really. On the one hand, he had the feeling he didnât know Mingyu. He just couldnât fit him into his life. Was he...his brother, friend, or...lover? But then again, he felt like he knew Mingyu. He knew him inside out. All the experiences that he didnât even know were real or made up.
âYou like dogs more than cats, right?â he voiced the first quirk about Mingyu that came to mind.
âYes, but-â
âAnd yet you would dress up as a cat to please me.â Wonwoo interrupted him.
Mingyus grin faded. Instead, a serious expression came over his face. âWonwoo I-â
âI donât know whatâs going on, Mingyu. I feel like Iâve known you forever. But then again, I donât know you. I want to know so much more about you. Itâs all so confusing. And then a name pops into my head. Who is Jihoon?â
âJi...hoon?â
It went black again. But Wonwoo wasnât really upset about it. The situation just didnât feel real. The noises had only gotten through to him in a blur and, apart from Mingyu and what he was looking at directly, he hadnât noticed anything. Was that another dream?
âWonwoo I...Iâm sorry. I didnât want that.â He heard Mingyus voice in his head. He sounded sincere. But what was going on here?
Suddenly, he winced and opened his eyes. Or had he had it open the whole time? It took a little while for him to know where he was. He was sitting in a restaurant. With Seungkwan and Vernon.
âAre you among the living again? Please pull yourself together if Jun shows up later!â
Jun?
Reality slowly got through to him. Seungkwan had talked him into a double date, inviting one of his friends over for Wonwoo. But what was that? Where was Mingyu? Who was he? Wonwoo looked around the restaurant. And there he sat at the bar. He recognized Mingyu immediately. Mingyu looked at him uneasily and when their eyes met, Mingyu jumped up and left the restaurant with quick steps. Oh no. He would not escape him!
âIâll be right back.â He murmured to his friends and hurried after Mingyu. Whatever happened here, Mingyu would be able to help him understand.
Mingyu is injured and put on bed rest. His personal downfall. On top of that, his boyfriend is never at home. Not one night. Wonwoo wouldn't cheat on himâŚwould he?
Day -14, Series 1 Season 1 Episode 10, Level 70
On the one hand, Mingyu was relieved to finally hear Wonwoo coming home. On the other hand, that meant that today he had just laid in bed, watched a series, and played a game. He hated not being able to do anything. Sitting or lying in bed all day wasnât his style. But right now, he had no other choice. While dancing, he tripped and fell sprawled on the floor. It had been so embarrassing. Even more embarrassing was the visit to the doctor and the diagnosis - a piece of bone had splintered off. That meant now bed rest and his personal downfall.
He didnât really like to read (Wonwoo had left him a few books but hadnât really felt the need to even read the summary yet) and he didnât really like to play games. But watching series wasnât really his style either, and with series and gaming, he passed the time to some extent.
âHey, how are you?â
As soon as he saw Wonwoo, his mood improved. He reached out his hands to him (He would have preferred to get up and go to him) and Wonwoo came over to him, laughing. âMuch better,â Mingyu said as he pulled Wonwoo into his arms and closed his eyes.
âHow was your day?â
âUgh. Donât ask. Tell me about yours.â
âMingyu Iâm so sweaty. Let me take a shower first.â
âNo!â Maybe he was a little defiant. But he had to go without his boyfriend for an entire day! He heard Wonwoo sigh and knew he had won.
He listened, pleased to Wonwoo as he recounted his day. Even if it wasnât anything special, after just one day, Mingyu was addicted to hearing something different.
~
Wonwoo often hesitated, as he had to think carefully about his words. He could hardly tell Mingyu that Soonyoung had shown them today the choreo for their new song. It would only make him feel worse. He knew Mingyu didnât like just lying around in bed. Even when Wonwoo was at home, Mingyu could only last a few hours before he needed to move and do something. Wonwoo had left him a few extra books, but he doubted it would do much good. No, he would not tell Mingyu about it. But he had to come up with something.
When he was done telling (there wasnât much since he had to skip the topic with the new choreo), he coaxed a few words from Mingyu about his day. Apparently, he had found a game that kept him busy and a series. It was good that he was at least a little busy.
Day -13, Series 1 Season 2 Episode 9, Level 310
Wonwoo came late today. Extremely late. Mingyu had often passed the time today and kept sending him selfies. Always with a pout. Rarely had he received one back. Most of the time one of the others was on it, too (well, they also wrote to him from time to time and he was happy to see them too...but he wanted his boyfriendâs attention).
Mingyu tried to do something different today. Writing. Learning some English. But he couldnât concentrate. As soon as he moved, his foot hurt like hell. And so he was back to what he had been doing yesterday. Watch the series and gaming. The game wasnât even anything special. It was this connect things to make them disappear game. And since he got boosters and infinite lives (maybe because he was new), he got quite far (at least he thought so). It was just the occupation that required little mental effort and yet kept him busy.
Sorry, was with Coups. Iâm on my way home.
Well finally! Today, he had left him alone for far too long. The training must have been over for 2 hours (and it wasnât like they were in any preparations and train longer) and Mingyu was a bit offended that Wonwoo apparently didnât come to his house immediately but went to Seungcheols home. Seungcheol was not lying injured in his bed!
~
âHow is Mingyu?â
Wonwoo shrugged slightly. Mingyu was still asleep this morning when Wonwoo left. âI think so far quite well. He has found something to spend his time. But I donât think it will go well for long. And the injury sounds like something worse. I...I donât think heâll be fit for his birthday.â
And he had planned something great. He wanted to go with Mingyu to his parents, eat with them, and then they would go camping. Just the two of them. He knew Mingyu would like it. But he could forget that now. What could he do with Mingyu just inside the apartment without straining his foot?
During the break, he checked his phone and found that Mingyu had sent him six different selfies. Always with a pout. Oh no. It already started and it was only the second day. And thatâs where Wonwoo came up with the idea. And he had to disappoint Mingyu and would be later today. Maybe it wouldnât be so bad?
After the rehearsal, he went shopping with Seungcheol and followed him to his home.
âShould I help you?â
âNo. I want to do it alone.â
âGood. Call me when itâs ready.â
He would cook for Mingyu. Wonwoo didnât really cook. He didnât like it and Mingyu always cooked for them, so why should he do it? But he would surprise Mingyu. For his birthday, he would surprise him with Kimchi-jjigae and Mingyu would love it. Hopefully!
He stuck to the recipe he had picked out. But he had done something wrong.
âThatâs way too spicy, Wonwoo! No one can eat that!â
Day -12, Series 1 Season 3 Episode 5, Level 399
The series was more exciting, his game more difficult and Wonwoo quiet. While the first pleased him (time really went by so much faster that way), the other two frustrated him. The one with Wonwoo even more than this stupid game. Now, if this went on all this time, Mingyu would die here. The worst part of the whole situation...his birthday was in 12 days! If not for a miracle, he would still have to be on bed rest. Would the others come to visit him? Birthdays had never really been an excuse to work less. If he was unlucky, he would be lonely in his bed most of the time on his birthday. Why did he have to be so clumsy? Then his foot wouldnât be injured, and he could go to training.
Wonwoo stayed away longer again today. And when he finally got home, he only gave Mingyu a quick hello before heading to the bathroom. So it took even more time until he finally had Wonwoo with him.
âCanât you come home a little earlier tomorrow?â
âSorry Mingyu. I was still with Coups.â
Again. Mingyu didnât want to show that he was hurt. Or jealous. Or childish. So he didnât say it bothered him. He was maybe just a little more sensitive from the pain. And it was almost forgotten when Wonwoo got into bed with him.
~
The training got tough. Just having Mingyu absent spurred Soonyoung on, and Wonwoo had the feeling they practiced longer and more often than they normally did. Since he went back to Seungcheols after practice and started his second attempt at kimchi-jjigae (he had picked out another recipe), he was completely exhausted when he finally got home.
Not only was the new recipe useless (âItâs not that spicy anymore. But it has a weird taste. Are you sure you did everything right?â), he also made a mess while eating, which is why he greeted Mingyu quickly and then went to the bathroom. He didnât need Mingyu to notice something and spoil the surprise.
It was a blessing to lie in bed with Mingyu.
âHow are you?â he asked.
âThe series is so exciting! If you want, Iâll start it all over again with you.â All he heard from MingyuâŚwas his series. The character had done this, and the character had done that. Wonwoo was pleased that Mingyu was distracted and knew how to spend his time. But he wouldnât mind talking to him about other things, either.
Day -11, Series 1 Season 4 Episode 1, Level 470
They had killed his favorite character! In such a pathetic way. Mingyu was almost tempted to stop watching. But thenâŚboredom returned, and he continued with the series.
He already felt bad when he got Wonwoos message:
Sorry, Iâm still with Coups.
And when Wonwoo came home and was already in the shower, Mingyus mood got even worse, and he pretended to be asleep when Wonwoo came into his room. It couldnât be, right? Wonwoo wouldnât...no. They were happy together. And just because Mingyu was on bedrest for a few days, Wonwoo wouldnât⌠no. No, he didnât even want to think it or say it. He was just imagining things. He was only hurt because his OTP was broken.
And when Wonwoo gave him a kiss on the cheek before snuggling into Mingyus back, his concerns almost disappeared.
~
âWonwoo, I really canât eat kimchi-jjigae anymore.â
What? Seungcheol volunteered to be the test subject. And now he didnât want to continue?
âThen tell me itâs perfect.â His third recipe. He had finally asked his mother for advice, and she had given him this recipe. It couldnât be wrong anymore.
Seungcheol looked at the food skeptically before trying it. âI have no idea what itâs supposed to taste like anymore. For real. Find someone else.â
Wonwoo sighed. He cooked every day for 3 days. It was exhausting. He just wanted to see Mingyu and spend time with him. Distract his boyfriend. Wonwoo grabbed his phone and checked his messages.
Wonwoo! They killed my favorite character!
They canât do that! Why her????
And he sighed again. Ever since Mingyu started this series, he only talked about it. Wonwoo preferred the selfies. Now he was constantly getting messages with an update on the series.
When he came home late, Mingyu was already asleep. It didnât really improve his mood. If only he could finally cook the recipe right!
Day -10, Series 1 Season 4 Episode 13, Level 559
His thoughts returned when Wonwoo came home late again today. Mingyu called Coups today, but Wonwoo wasnât there. It left Mingyu with a bitter feeling. Did Wonwoo lie to him? Wonwoo, who was always so truthful? Damn it, what was he supposed to do if it was true? If Wonwoo really... cheated on him?
It didnât get any better when Wonwoo came home, freshly showered again. He wasnât even hungry. And thatâs when Mingyu realized he hadnât seen Wonwoo eat anything the last days. Was he dating someone else? He didnât even want to imagine that Wonwoo would meet up with another person, eat with them, have fun, and then they... ended up in bed. Why else would he come home freshly showered?
Mingyu couldnât ask him about it, it just wasnât possible. He did the first thing that came to his mind when Wonwoo got home - pretend to be asleep again. And maybe his heart broke a bit when Wonwoo finally lay down in their bed, not kissing Mingyu and not cuddling with him.
~
After all, he made a breakthrough with his motherâs recipe with Jeonghan.
âIt tastes great. But donât let it cook so long next time, okay?â
He would still manage to perfect the dish!
âCan I shower here? I feel like I smell like food. I donât want Mingyu to know what Iâm planning.â
But when he got to his house, Mingyu was already asleep again. He had showered for nothing. His heart ached a little that Mingyu didnât even bother to stay up until Wonwoo got home. But he couldnât complain. Mingyu was definitely having a harder time right now.
Day -9, Series 1 Season 5 Episode 11, Level 600
Minghao was here today. Not for long, but Mingyu could question him a little. How the others were doing (they all missed him and would be happy when he came back), how the training was going (Coups took his part and that was the absolute worst answer Mingyu could get) and who Wonwoo was talking to, and if he behaved conspicuously (âWhy are you asking such questions Mingyu?â).
And since he wanted to test whether his foot was getting better (it wasnât), he walked around the apartment a little. Or rather hobbled. And he was so exhausted, and the pain came back. He really fell asleep faster today and didnât even notice when Wonwoo came home.
~
He was relieved when Minghao asked him if he could come over and check on Mingyu after practice.
âSure. Iâm going home with Joshua for a while. Itâs a surprise for Mingyus birthday, so please donât tell him anything. And I didnât tell him about the new choreo either.â
At least Mingyu didnât have to remember different versions when he was fit enough again. Soonyoung had changed the choreo. It wasnât any harder than usual. But with his added mission, it pushed Wonwoo to his limit. He had to hold out for another 10 days.
Day -5, Series 2 Season 3 Episode 17, Level 1.830
Wonwoo cheated on him. Every damn day.
Mingyu couldnât deny it anymore. True, Wonwoo no longer lied to him about Seungcheol. He varied now. Sometimes he was with Soonyoung and Joshua, then with Seokmin or Jeonghan. But he always came home much too late, freshly showered, and then wanted to go straight to bed and sleep.
And even though Mingyus foot was now better (he still had to take it easy), his pain increased. He didnât want to ask Wonwoo about it before his birthday. He didnât want to be alone. If Wonwoo wouldnât leave him alone that day, too. What if he also went to his fling that day?
Mingyu was so tired of feeling sorry for himself by now. He had taken a shower (not the first time during his rest period) and today he had taken extra care of his appearance. He didnât want to give up their relationship just like that!
Being way too used to this easygoing life, it had become difficult to stay awake until Wonwoo came home (he had already eaten and freshly showered again).
âAre you still awake?â Wonwoo asked him, also surprised.
âI missed you.â It elicited a smile from Wonwoo. Only fleetingly, but Mingyu absorbed every second of it. Wonwoo sat down on the bed and sighed. Mingyu slid behind him and before Wonwoo could say anything, Mingyu put his hands on Wonwoos shoulders and massaged him.
âHuh? What have I done to deserve this?â
Deserve? He deserved completely different things. But Mingyu would forgive him everything if Wonwoo ended it and turned to just Mingyu again.
âI missed you.â Mingyu repeated sincerely. He stopped and wrapped his arms around Wonwoo. It felt good to be close to the other and to pretend everything was fine for a moment.
âLetâs sleep Mingyu.â
âI really missed you, Wonwoo.â Mingyu tried again. He slipped a hand under Wonwoos shirt, but Wonwoo stood up.
âI am tired. Sorry.â
Mingyu retreated to his side of their bed in resignation, his heart aching more and more with each beat. Not only did he cheat on him, but he also turned Mingyu down. Mingyu turned his back on Wonwoo, ignoring the fact that he couldnât position his foot properly, and tried not to cry.
~
He was done. He was so exhausted. They knew their choreo, but Wonwoo had recorded his parts for the new album today. Thatâs how he came out later. Then he had to go shopping again. And only when he was with Joshua and Soonyoung, they informed him they had already eaten. Damn. Where else should he cook? He understood the others didnât want to eat kimchi-jjigae every day...but he needed test subjects!
It wasnât his style to write to people. But he had no other option and so he wrote to his acquaintances. At least there were a few people who were willing to volunteer. But the dish was still not perfect. And it should be perfect.
When he got home, he was surprised that the light was still on and Mingyu was awake.
âAre you still awake?â
âI missed you.â
It was nice to hear. And it was so much better to see Mingyu at least awake. He let himself sink exhausted onto the bed.
The next moment, Mingyu was massaging him. And that gave him the strength to hold out for the next 5 days. He knew his efforts would pay off. Mingyu would love it. When he finally got it perfect.
Day 0, Series 2 Season 6 Episode 11, Level 2.675
When Mingyu woke up on his birthday, he heard noises in the home. He only felt relief. Wonwoo had taken a day off. He had probably only prepared a surprise. But when he got up and hobbled cautiously into the kitchen (It only hurt a little), he was disappointed. It was just Chan.
âGood morning, Mingyu Hyung! Happy Birthday.â
He couldnât even be with him on his birthday.
Dino did his best and distracted Mingyu. Even when Joshua replaced him, Mingyu was doing a little better. And as he gradually saw each one as they took turns to keep Mingyu company (Seungcheol and Jeonghan came together and maybe that was for the better, since Mingyu still suspected Seungcheol), he almost forgot his grief.
âI have to go now, Mingyu,â said Soonyoung in the afternoon. And only when there really was no one with him, Mingyu realized how hungry he was. He had had breakfast with Dino and Seungkwan had brought a small cake, but he hadnât eaten anything since then. And just as his stomach was rumbling again, he noticed the smell in the apartment. It smelled good. Insanely good. And since he was so hungry, his mouth was watering.
Without thinking much, Mingyu went into the kitchen. He was a little surprised to find Wonwoo there. He cooked! Wonwoo and cook? He had never seen Wonwoo cook before. Not once.
âWhat?â
âHey birthday boy, sit down.â
Mingyu did as he was told. He was confused. What was going on here? Why was Wonwoo cooking? Why was he acting as nothing had happened between them?
When Wonwoo finished serving and sat down next to him at the table, he couldnât hold back: âWhatâs this all about?â
Wonwoo, surprised by his outburst, stopped. âWhat do you mean? I...weâre celebrating your birthday?â
âWhy are you here? Youâve been gone the whole time and now suddenly youâre acting like nothing happened? Like you donât cheat on me every day? And why are you cooking? You canât cook at all!â
~
Since the other members wanted to see Mingyu, too, Wonwoo got up early. He didnât have to worry that Mingyu would miss him a lot. Chan would come over for breakfast and as soon as that one left, the next would come over.
That was enough to get the cake (he wouldnât bake too. Not after trying to cook kimchi-jjigae for almost 2 weeks. Every day), shop and do the prep at Seungcheol.
He was about to sneak in at home when he heard Soonyoungs loud voice. He didnât have to be quiet.
~
âI should what? Cheating on you? How⌠how did you get the idea?â
âYou were never there! You always come home freshly showered. And youâre never hungry. I would have liked to cook you something, but no, youâre with your affair and eating there.â
Wonwoo pressed his lips together. He always did this when he was uncomfortable with something. Oh no. He didnât want to break up with Wonwoo on his birthday. His heart could never overcome that.
âPlease try the food, Mingyu.â
âWhat?â
Wonwoo looked at him, and Mingyu couldnât see what he was thinking. Did he know Wonwoo at all? When Wonwoo still said nothing, Mingyu sighed and grabbed his chopsticks. He didnât know what that was about, but he did it and tried. And it shouldnât taste that good.
Wonwoo smiled a bit. And Mingyus mood worsened. Had that cooked his affair?
âIâve spent the last two weeks getting the dish perfect. I...Iâm sorry. I had planned something else, but then this with your foot happened and I needed a replacement gift. I thought you like it. I...I should have been here more. Iâm sorry.â
Mingyu took a moment. âYou cooked this?â Wonwoo? His Wonwoo? Wonwoo who never cooked? He took another bite. He realized he had behaved ridiculously. Of course, Wonwoo loved him. Loneliness had fueled his jealousy. âIâm sorry.â
âYou donât handle being alone very well. I know. Iâm sorry Mingyu.â
His bad mood was forgotten. Mingyu was so relieved that he wasnât right. Wonwoo didnât cheat on him!
âLetâs eat, okay? And after that, you donât go away. I want you with me. Iâve missed you so.â
Wonwoo nodded. âEverything you want.â
Mingyu grinned. âEverything I want? I could think of a few things.â
âIf we donât put too much strain on your foot, yes,â Wonwoo added.
