“You know, I know what it feels like, loosing your master.”
Before Shin could say anything. The words of insult already on her lips, though perhaps too tired to say them out loud.
How dare you think what this feels like.
Instead the other woman continued, “Ahsoka left me once. Back when I was in a very dark place.”
“She said she feared what would become of me, but instead of help she abandoned me. Just like that, without another word.”
“It took me some time to forgive her.”, the Mandalorian sighed, prompting Shin to turn her head towards the other woman.
“Perhaps some deeper part of me still hasn’t. But...what is it my master used to say...”
“Holding a grudge is bad for the soul. It poisons your mind.”
“I think she was right.”, at that the women turned her head, smiling briefly at Shin, before looking once again towards the horizon, the blood-orange sky lighting up her face.
Shin felt a faint blush slowly warming her face, creating a marvellous pattern created by the slowly rising blush and the crystal-blue light from the basin, both reflecting on her face.
“It’s a truly a marvel. The orange sky, the crystal-blue water, all of it in perfect harmony.”, the Mandalorian continued. The awe of it’s beauty clearly lighting-up her entire face.
“It’s beautiful.”
Then, with a smile on her face, her lips raised in the faintest of smiles – Shin finally answered, her eyes looking at the woman beside her.
