Small world - the mod with the odd Persephone equivalency complex is the same person responsible for the Simhamukha article I was reading the other day where I did a spit take to see them citing dubious sources on her being a version of Sekhmet. This person has a very specific niche!
So they are a hyperdiffusionist in general, and not just when it comes to Mesopotamia. 19th century called, it wants it shoddy claims back. The sources they use include crap like "Metahistory.org charts a passage beyond the received scripts of history and culture, toward a world free from enslavement to historical lies" and astrology sites and they don't hide their contempt for rigorous research as you can see on the Inanna talk page. Simultaneously they are borderline illiterate when it comes to the most basic sources, they thought Reallexikon der Assyriologie is a journal I'm sorry but the more I hear the more I'm starting to think the fact a person like that can have mod privileges affirms the common opinion that wikipedia is trash by design. It's very clearly been infiltrated by people with fringe agendas at a very early point.
