Little gifts
something i don’t see touched on in the Witcher fandom (regarding the games) is the absolute *nightmare* it would’ve been for Regis to regenerate and Dettlaff to care for him after Vilgefortz melted him.
Regis describes it from his perspective a bit when you chat with him in B&W and i do love the fanart i’ve seen of Dettlaff holding him as he recovers, having him drink his blood
but imagine
Dettlaff stepping into the room and being assaulted by a pungent stench. blood bubbles like a cauldron over fire as muscles and sinews agonizingly reform, stretching with meaty squelches. a finger or chunk of an arm twitching uselessly. he bites his wrist and drips blood onto the mass that was once as alive as he, watching the systems absorb it to rebuild themselves.
I haven’t drawn Regis for such a long time look at this cuuutie🥺🤲
The vamps!
I posted them them separately already, but I wanted to show them off together too ❤️

first look at my design of book regis since i realized i'd never made my own version of him :) more doodles will probably follow!!
some notes: definitely based on the game model, but with @hanzajesthanza's long hair preference (which i wholeheartedly agree with). the patches on his clothes are supposed to represent his intentional and unique reparation process, plus i think they give him a much cozier vibe.
Your frinedly, ex-blood-addicted, philantropist, barber-surgeon, guilt ridden, tax-unpaying, non-shut-uping, flower stealing, graveyard squating, vampiric gilf neighbour

You had a plan. A plan that went to shit after you met the gentle vampire, Regis.
You lived in Toussaint. You were a single, weaponsmith's assistant. You enjoyed your life. A little too much. You enjoyed what you had so much that you had the fear of growing older. You didn't want to. In fact, you decided to change that. You've heard about the random vampire sightings people gossiped about when out in town. You decided to spend your free time researching vampires, basically learning how to hunt them. You didn't want to kill them; instead you wanted to meet one, make him fall in love with you in hopes of him wanting to turn you to spend eternity together, so you could live for eternity. You had investigated vampires so deeply, you learned about The Witcher who was in town traveling with a Higher Vampire acquaintance hunting the Beast. This was your chance. You put on a flattering hooded outfit, very similar to what The Duchess wore when trying to conceal herself. You made your way downtown to where you had heard they were investigating determined to run into him. This vampire was your target. This was your opportunity to change your future and you were determined to make it happen. You had gotten a distant glimpse of the pair so you knew what The Witcher looked like, with his distinguishable white hair and double swords. It wouldn't be hard to miss them. You scouted the streets until you finally see them making their way up and around a corner. You hurried down the street to hopefully meet them around the next turn. With you, you had a book. Your favorite book. You needed an excuse to "accidentally " bump into them. As you approached the street corner you could hear their voices getting closer. You waited hoping you timed your meet up just perfectly. As soon as you could see their shadows you opened your book, quickly reading the few lines you needed to remember and made your way around the corner face deep into your book. Your plan worked perfectly but it also backfired in your face. You perfectly ran right into the stout vampire, knocking your book clean out your hands. The pair of men stop, The Witcher standing off to the side. Both you and the vampire start apologizing. Your plan was working. That is, until you actually looked up at this man. Look for Part 2....
