The vampire slain by village folk, unknown artist, 11XX
Decided to make a version of one of my favourite medieval arts into a Witcher thing, by using Young, drunk Regis and typical eastern european looking villagers. I wanted to make it with traditional paints but I didn't have time. Anyways I kinda love it.
Here's the original:
Men, the polite ones, at least, call me a monster. A blood-drinking freak.
Regis about humans' opinion on vampires
omg I’ve just realised…
WITCHER SERIES SPOILERS:
that was the last time we’ll see Cahir and Ciri together before the 10 seconds preceding the big sad. Legit they glance at each other once more before Cahir urges Ciri and Angoulême to flee while he delays Bonhart — who then unceremoniously cuts down Cahir like he’s nothing more than a scarecrow holding a sword. He legit lays his life on the line and dies for Ciri. For thousands of pages, multiple bloody books that could be used as bricks, they’ve been tied by destiny — more so than even Geralt and Yennefer or even Emhyr — and yet, there’s no explanation to their connection. There’s no even conversation between them. Nothing. It makes me utterly heartbroken, even years after reading, thinking about how it’s all going to end. It’s honestly one of my least favorite books of all time. It breaks me. Cahir and Ciri at least deserve a Reylo-like chance and ending.
Freya and Eamon were brilliant together — their chemistry palpable — and we get no more — until their final 10 seconds 😭 😭 😭
"You can't love anyone 'cause that would mean you have a heart"
I am finished reading the second witcher book (sword of destiny) and like this feels both Yennefer and Geralt.
But also like, Geralt was very much againts his fate, againts being tied to a child, in a way, loving said child because time and again there are passages in Geralt lowkey spirales calling himself a monster, a mutant who only follows orders for money, aka not having a heart.
Loving and caring about Ciri means he has a heart.

Geralt, tugging his wolf faced witcher necklace over his head, looking hopefully at Dandelion from under his ruffled hair and holding out his hand, "I got you this pendent, cause I'm dependent on you."
Game Geralt with Jaskier: "Sure he's a idiot and I'm there to keep him out of trouble, did I also mention he's a idiot? Drags Jaskier with him when he tries something stupid again.
Book! Geralt with Jaskier: "He's my best friend in the whole wide world and I'll kill you if you look at him." and even get drunk together.
Tv show! Geralt with Jaskier : "He's fucking annoying and can someone get rid of him? Pretty please?" basically wants to punch him with his sword.
