redownloading witcher 1 for my bi yearly attempt to finish playing it. reading the updates on the remake (which if i fail this attempt ill just wait for that to replay, but i wanna replay 2 and 3 before 4 comes out and so im trying to see if i can bang em all out) while it downloads and man. witchers not a perfect game i know that and the game on release will probably have bugs. whatever. but its crazy going from "we will NOT remake our 2008 first game in the series because everyone that knew how to use the systems left in such a way that we CANNOT rehire them, we will also not fix the version of the game that we are selling on storefronts so its up to the storefronts or the customers to remove the known issue that causes crashes every like 10 minutes" to "yeah we know our first game from 2007 didnt age super well, and we want to make sure the whole trilogy is playable and all up to par with each other sooooo we're remaking the first game from the ground up by contracting another studio that has several of our former staff (who we're still on good terms with) working there and having them build the game in ue5 :)". i love you dragon age youll always be one of my first loves but witchers flirting with me so hard. they said you hate two things about this series (the at times lack of prevalence of women and the jank ass first installment) here have a female led trilogy and were making the first game good.

Hmmm actually very annoyed that when it comes time to kill this horrible person in The Witcher, Geralt says it’s because he attacked Ciri and says nothing about the six tortured and murdered women also in this room. I hate! The amount of topless female corpses in this room right now! I feel like bare minimum you could do to justify including them is mentioning them at all before you murder the guy who killed them.
