The use of plants as medicines predates written human history. People on all continents have used local plants for treatment of ailments since prehistoric times.

Witches, herbalists & healers, both in the past and present and from cultures all over the world practice traditional cures and even develop their own secret recipes, often with rituals to go along with them.

While the herbal remedies deal with the chemistry of the body, the rituals that accompany the remedies deal with the emotional & spiritual side of disease which modern medicine rarely addresses.

Modern Witches usually agree that pharmaceuticals are more effective in emergency situations where time is of the essence or when treating certain extreme illnesses.

But Modern Witches also believe that Natural Medicine can be more effective and less abrasive for things like: treating chronic ailments (especially the ones that modern medicine still deems “incurable”), reversing the effects of degenerative diseases, everyday health management & illness prevention. ‪

Mermay 2025: Tomo

Tomo appreciates his new ability to become a powerful Werecroc, similar to lycanthropy but affiliate and blessed to become a large crocodile. A perfect way for him to venture in any body of water, fresh or salt water, day or night. But what Tomo discovered is that he can be a Werecroc in any shape he desires. Tomo has always been curious about what he would look like as a combination of a croc and a merfolk.

I have done Tomo as a merfolk 3 years ago until I realized that I done goofed. So I redesigned him to be an appropriate Mercroc. Yes, I know that Mermay ended yesterday, but he took a while to finish. And I never post on Sundays and Tuesdays because I don't trust the algorithms, but it's only for today. And tomorrow, I have one merfolk left to post.
