If someone is wishing by themselves, then to get a really big wish granted they have to do a large elaborate ritual on the level of folding one thousand paper cranes. The reason for this is two fold (heh): a person has limited stores of Wishcraft, and the action has to be big and methodical to get the Universe's notice; and the time spent doing a tedious ritual will hopefully force the person to truly consider whether or not the wish is worth it.

Most children think they want to wish for a million ponies, but nine times out of ten they'll get fifteen paper cranes in and reconsider that wish very quickly.

I think this is how the King achieved his wish: perhaps through research, or pure muscle memory, he remembered a larger ritual that allowed him to Wish for something so massive it gave him the power to freeze Vauguarde in time.

But there is another way to make Wishcraft more powerful, with a simple ritual to boot! If several people wish for the same thing using the same ritual, then they can pool their Craft together to achieve a large wish. The more people wishing, the bigger the outcome. This is difficult to organise, as those involved have to wish for the exact same thing, but in the case of Vauguarde, if the motivation is strong enough...

because I can't imagine that they're all exactly the same! there are so, so many different ceremonies and cultures and such surrounding weddings in the real world that can even vary region by region of the same country that I can't imagine the isatverse countries being much different. Odile's comment on bonding earrings being something that they have in Ka Bue leads me to to believe it's not the "default" for bonded couples in Ka Bue, rather than something they can choose to have if they so desire.

Siffrin not knowing what they are could very likely just be their own memory failing them, or it could be related to the curse that makes everyone forget about their homeland, but I'm pretty sure the intended implication is that bonding earrings just don't exist on the island.

So what do the islanders do instead?

I think they use Wishcrafted vows.

Instead of the general "I promise to take care of you" this and "I promise to love you" that, it's I wish. I wish to care for you forever. I wish to love you forever. I wish to spend the rest of our lives together. Maybe they still have to craft the wish into something, to prevent potential backfire, like special ceremony jewelery, but the focus on the ceremonies are the promises.

Of course, Wishcrafted vows don't guarantee that the couple is gonna be together forever, because Wishcraft doesn't always work in perfect, literal ways. Couples can still get divorced, of course, if they so need it.

But the reason that Wishcraft is used is because it makes the commitment to the words feel that much stronger. I'd imagine that it would make all of the bonding halls smell like sugar, since there's so much concentrated (but controlled) Wishcraft being used in such a small space.

It's like how Body Craft is illegal in some countries other than Vaugarde. It could be used for dangerous and selfish reasons, but just as Body Craft is used in Vaugarde for Change and self-love and celebration, I don't see why Wishcraft couldn't be used in similar ways on the Northern Island.

I was driving home after visiting a friend on vacation. We spent the weekend together.It was fun. Since we go to different colleges . I don't see my high school buddies as much anymore.

I was drivnIng down the road and I saw this bar, I've seen it before.It was advertised in a gay magazine that I see at the bars.

I pulled into the car into the lot. I said to a take off my t shirt and put on my leather jacket. I want to look around the club before.I even had a drink.

This place is pretty cool.What's over here?It's pretty boring and bear , but there is this guy standing there and I also need to cause me over.

I've never seen you here before. How much is driving by. I've seen ads for this place in the magazine.

His name was julian. And he seemed like he was hot s*** to himself, and everyone around him should think that way. He's one of those guys who thinks everybody wants to date me.Every guy wants to be me typed attitude.

So I really wasn't paying attention to him cause he didn't.For me, I kinda try to walk away.And he kept calling me back.

You can put your arm around me. Don't think you're my boyfriend. I really didn't want to but he kept insisting. I never got a show, but he was started to get out of my nerves. The last\nThing you wanna do is get a warlock mad.

Yeah, you heard me, I'm a warlock.. I have magical powers.

I just looked at him and I was trying to walk away, but he wouldn't let me should I cast this spell on him just so I can leave.I don't like doing things like that , but if they ask for it , I'll let them have it.

Come on, guys here wanna date me.Other guys wish they were me julian said.

You got a nice body. He tells me. But say mine. Just come over here. Put your arm around me and put your hand on my chest. If you did that I would give you my body.

What do you say? If I touch him , I can have his body?

Come on, Blondie, you know, you wanna touch me? You know you want my body.

Does he know he just cast a spell in front of a warlock who couldn't decide what spell to put on him. We call it wishcraft. He wished I had his body. The thing is , he didn't kiss the spell right or didn't complete it. If I was the touch him right now I would get his body.

I have to do is put my hand in his chest.

The spell went into effect right away and I got a quick jump start.I grew hit to his height already and my body started growing.And I could feel my jeans ripping as I was getting his legs and his glutes. My jacket was growing tighter on me.

And he was shrinking in size faster than anything.

I could feel myself still grinding, but not at a sword pace as he was shrinking.If he only knew he didn't complete the spell he's going to be gone shortly.

His jeans have already hit the ground. Along with his underwear. And I'm still green, my dreams are ripped open in the back.I can feel a breeze. I gotta get this jacket off before.It's rips , the others just too tight. Julian is almost gone.

I undid my belt and dropped.My jeans what was left at them at least and got my underwear off. You're becoming a little tight because of all that muscular physique Julian had was now mine.

I had his body, I had to grab his underwear and Pant Jean, just so I had some clothes on my gym shoes ripped away.So I had to put his shoes on, I was standing there in Julian's clothes.There was nothing left of him.He was gone.

I do disappear, why didn't you get my body?He said he'd give me his body.He didn't say he trade me as body.

Even in a wish you have to say things properly.

I was now taller bigger and stronger. His body was now mine. Can't believe you just gave it to me. But you hear him say it.I did.N't even had him repeat it.

I love how is jeans fit me. Showing every inch of this body.

And pulled the wall down the back pocket.It was all that it was left to the original julian.

I have to go to his address.I gotta get his clothes.If not I only have these dreams to wear.

I got to the parking lot and I have to in my car and I drove over to his apartment and clean out his closet.Taking everything was that was there.

It was like nobody ever saw me there as I came down the stairs quite a few times with clothes in my arms. And everything in my car.

You need to be careful what you wish for when you're around the world is especially one who's trying to think of a spell that's something to do to you.

He did a Wishcraft. He wished I had his body if I just touched him and I did and that's how I got this beautiful body now.Mine was nice, but this one is even better.I want from 5'9 to 6 foot.

My chest is about tune maybe three inches bigger than the old one in my waist is a lot leaner and well shaped , but the glutes make the jeans.

Could never fit in my old jeans with this body.Not counting they'd be a little short.

I just got my car and headed back to school.

I'm a few.I'll be a day early but I have to switch out all the cloths

Everything that was Julia's will be going in my closet plus anything of my old clothes at stove food fit me.I'll keep.

Fortunately nobody all noticed the change suck for me.

Was poking around the ISAT script website, as you do, and noticed a little something

We all know how Wish Craft is generally triggered by strong willpower and rituals of repetition, yeah?

Well, there's this subtle (in-game--the script site makes it much more apparent) glowy effect to the text every significant time Wish Craft is invoked. Including an instance I hadn't considered!

picking clovers in a specific way. it wasn't enough to just find one that looked different you had to have intent when you plucked it and then intent in how you got rid of it. i think it depends on the type of wish - sometimes you needed the roots, sometimes just the full stem, sometimes more than 4 leaves, sometimes you plucked the leaves sometimes you kept the clover pressed. etc

special clock times!! people know 11:11 but really any time that lined up with matching numbers was special. not everyone used the same clock though so you'd get a lot of different ideas of what times were good for powering wishes. 1:11, 2:22, 3:33 etc - worked in what we now call military time as well, 20:20, 17:17 etc

I love all the different AU's that surround this game, and with all the little hints of lore that are dropped, I sorta started spiraling down my own AU rabbit hole 👀

My idea is sorta a sorta "what if" scenario on what if Siffrin never forgot their home/island/family/culture/ect.

Not as in, "the forgotten island was never forgotten" sorta way, but more like Siffrin is literally the only person who remembers anything about the forgotten island, like they were entirely unaffected by whatever caused the island to be wiped from everyone's memories, including others that are from the island.

I just find an interesting subtle horror in the fact that Siffrin would be the only one able to remember the island, recognize it from afar, understand the language both spoken and written, and other things like that.

Cause like, that was their home, and now it's just gone, and no one can remember it for some reason, and they are likely terrified that they will also forget about the island someday.

I also imagine that their "forgetfulness" in this AU is much more of a front than anything else, something they use to keep others from finding out they remember cause it probably gets awkward or it brings up bad memories and they don't want to deal with that. Although, I do imagine they would forget a lot of words, cause they don't use them a lot. Especially since their native language would still be that of the forgotten island and they would likely think in it and mumble words under their breath to try and hold onto them.
