Roevember Day 2: Campfire

The realization startled me. I’ve been building campfires since I was too small to lift the logs myself. I can do every step in the process in my sleep: clearing the pit, arranging the kindling, lighting the sparks, building it into a slow and lasting heat.

And yet, never once have I done it alone. All those years of trying to find the biggest rocks for the ring before Thuvwilt got them all. All those arguments about stick arrangement, the burned fingers, the charred popotos that fell into the coals, the little chants we sang to chase the smoke from our side. Our father’s songs. Our grandma’s stories. I’ve never built a campfire in absolute silence. Not until I left.

1531 - Sylbmoen's nameday. (Wint's mother, name translation Silver Moon)

1535 - Merlwyb's nameday. (Wint's aunt, Sylbmoen's sister, name translation Sea Woman)

1546 - Aymeric de Borel's nameday.

1551 - Slafzedyr dies in a shipwreck headed for Old Sharlayan.

1552 - Wintgeim's nameday. (9th sun 1st astral moon, name translation Winter Jewel)

1554 - Merlwyb challenges Bloefhis to duel for consorting with the Sahagin, killing him and assuming command of the League of Lost Bastards.

1555 - Merlwyb leads the League of Lost Bastards on a voyage to the New World.

1556 - Merlwyb returns to Limsa Lominsa from the New World.

1563 - 85th Trident held, Merlwyb claims victory, inaugurated as Admiral of Limsa Lominsa, outlaws piracy.

1565 - Sylbmoen formaly establishes relationship with Warm Wheat.

1567 - Wintgeim runs away from home, under the assumption Warm Wheat was aiming to replace Slafzedyr as her father, joins the Sanguine Sirens. Half Sister Amber Mouse is born.

1572 - the Battle of Cartenau, Dalamud falls.

Seventh Umbral Era

5 - Wintgeim enlists for the Maelstrom, ambushed by the Sahagin on a routine squadron mission. Recruited for the Crystal Braves.

6 - Wintgeim fully onboarded into the Scions of the Seventh Dawn. End of the Dragonsong War. Aymeric initiates a relationship with Wintgeim.

7 - Scions of the Seventh dawn are confronted by Zenos in Rhalgr's Reach, travels across the Sea of Jade to make landfall in Kugane. Wintgeim realises and reciprocates the relationship with Aymeric.

8 - the Crystal Exarch summons Wintgeim's soul to the First Reflection.

9 [First] - Urianger and Y'shtola summoned to the First.

10 [First] - Wintgeim and Thancred fight in the Crystarium, Wintgeim stays with Master Matoya with the nights blessed temporarily.

11 [First] - Alphinaud and Alisaie summoned to the First, discussion with Urianger results in identifying their Agender feelings.

12 [First] - Theia summoned to the First. Emet-Selch and Elidibus defeated. 8th Umbral Calamity averted, returned to the Source in Year 8 (3-4 weeks have since passed on the source).

8 [Cont] - travels to Old Sharlayan. Confronts Endsinger in Ultima Thule. Averts the Final Days. Fistfights Zenos.

9 - Recovers from injuries sustained post Endsinger and Zenos fights. Travels to Tural.
