-Always very very careful when it comes to physical contact. The last thing he wants is to hurt you, especially if you're doing something as sweet as kissing him.
-Doesn't mean he isn't a sucker for it though. He's a sucker for any kind of affection you give him but, admittedly selfishly, he does have a soft spot for physical affection. The fact you're willing to take a risk and get so close to him makes his heart melt. It says so much about how much you trust him to keep you safe and not hurt you, how could he not be touched by that?
-Returns the favor with his own shower of soft, carefully placed kisses. He runs warm all over, eo you know you're getting cozy as hell. Often turns into you two cuddling as best as you can wherever you may be. (Well, in private of course. He's not exactly too piblic about, well, anything really. Comes with being a sword.)
Illumina
"Thank you."
-Illumina is a strange one. If you weren't his partner, you would almost wonder if he cared at all with how little outward reaction he has. Luckily, that's not the case, so you know just what little signs to look for that show how much he loves it.
-He'll lean into your touch and let his eyes close for just a few rare seconds, fully indulging in the sensation of you laying your love on him. It's nothing drastic, he doesn't scream his love for you from the rooftops, but that doesn't mean he leaves you high and dry.
-He's doesn't return the favor in quite the same way, but he'll usually bring your hand up to kiss the back of your palm or lean over to kiss your cheek- something similarly small and subtle. It's not that he's hesitant to show you he cares, he's just not entirely familiar with how people show that kind of thing. As long as you know he loves you, through word or through gesture, he's happy.
Windforce
"Come here."
-Ohhhh, Windforce the deity that you are ... she's much more composed than the other two, but that's only because she returns the favor tenfold. She'll pick you up and pull you as close as she can to get the point all the way across and then some.
-It's not a competition but ... well, it kind of is. Nothing serious, she just knows what you deserve, that being nothing but the most. Every gesture is grander than the last, another benchmark for grandure. You have a short lifespan, she has to make the most of it lavishing you with more than your tiny heart could ever want for.
-She's the quickest to return the favor because she can't let you beat her at her own game. It's her job to make you feel loved and cared for, and your job to sit there looking pretty. You've proved yourself more than enough by being with her, of all swords, after all.
Venomshank
"Thank you, darling."
-Similar to Illumina, it might not seem like you get much reaction out of Venomshank, but don't fall for that, he's absolutely melting into it everytime.
-He'll lean down into you and expose the expanse of his mask, leaving all the space out and easy to reach. He knows the risks that come with taking his mask off, so this works as a happy medium. As long as he can feel the faint warmth of your touch through the leather and understand exactly how much it means for you to be doing this, he can die happy. He'll often raise your hands up to his face and mime kissing them, tapping the very tip of his beak against each hand gently as possible. He hopes it can even halve the joy you give to him.
-On the rare occasions he does have his mask off, he's much more fragile, easier to get emotional and teary eyed over it. he'll curl up into you, smaller than you could ever imagine him being as you kiss him. He keeps himself balled up, as though he were holding everything together with his bare hands. Shakily, he'll kiss you a few times back, quiet 'Thank you's and 'I love you's his voice isn't strong enough to carry across.
Darkheart
"Aww, how kind of you."
-Hate this guy. Always makes a game out of teasing you, know that. Every sappy moment turns into you wanting to punch them because they just have to say something. It's not because they want to ruin your fun though, god no. They just like getting a reaction out of you, unfortunately for you.
-Always gives you plenty of soace to work with, pushing you to keep going. Pure coincidence of course, according to them. They won't say it but they love it to death, it's their favorite. It's just such a cute gesure from you, they can't help but think the way you lavish them is precious. Of course, they'll return the favor, just make sure you watch how cloae they get to any ticklish spots. What, how could they have known? It's not their fault you're so sensitive.
-They'll target any soft spots you have because if there's anything they love more than your kisses, it's your laughter. They'd do anything to pry it out of you, however selfish it may be. You'll induldge them a while longer, won't you?
(PLATONIC) Icedagger
"Stop it, that tickles!"
-All laughs and giggles with him. His skin is more sensitive with just how cold it really is, so you'll have to show him some mercy.
-Despite that, it does mean a lot to him. His understanding of a family is so different from mortals, the other swords are a little too busy to be visiting constantly, so having you around is ... nice. It makes him feel a little more normal, less like some weird 'other' to the rest of the inpherno. He might not understand every tradition or gesture you have, but he's a quick learner and always asking to hear stories about you and your family. (P.S, if he ever asks a story about your family and you mention him, essentially including him in that family, you might end up having to brush some freezing tears off of his face. It just makes him happy to hear you consider him so close, the same way he does you.)
-Fair warning, you might end up with sniffles for a few days but, oh well You probably get enough of that with everything else. Godspeed soldier.

Venomshank
When the relationship first starts, he's wary of quite a bit. He doesn't want to hurt you, and isn't very experienced with relationships in general. The relationship needs to evolve slowly. Hold his hand every so often (do not jump straight to trying to kiss him, he will get up and leave if you do), spend more time with him, get him more used to you being around more often.
He lives in Crossroads, so as long as you know where he is, you can visit him probably the most often of the sfoth. As time goes on, you'll get a key so you won't always need to knock and wait outside in the elements.
A big thing, but Sword needs to be okay with you. At the very least. Sword lives there too, Venomshank is not making his mentee uncomfortable by being in a relationship with someone Sword may not like. If Sword seems fine with you or reacts positively to your presence, Venomshank'll let you stay.
When he does finally get comfortable enough to initiate touching you, he'll be touchy. A hand will be on you if he can reach you.
Do not try to get the mask off him ever. If he does ever take it off around you, he's not going to try to kiss you. He's scared even trying to might turn you into one of his zombies. He's insanely scared you being anywhere near his mouth could result in an accident. If his mask is off and you want to kiss his face, stick to the upper half of it or he'll pull away and not let you near his face until his mask is back on. You can kiss his mask too, and he generally prefers you to do that.
He'll want at least one photo of you to hang on the wall. I don't make the rules.
He doesn't sleep himself, but he'll sit with you while you do. If he's feeling especially cuddly, he'll hold you throughout the night. Though if you aren't up at the asscrack of dawn with him, you'll wake up alone. He's gotta train Sword still, so he'll just leave you to your sleep. Though, most of the time, Sisyphus will watch over you while you sleep in.
Speaking of Sisyphus. The bird will land on you. If you're scared of birds like me then you may want to try getting used to Sisyphus as fast as possible. That bird does not wait for you to get used to it. It will just randomly land on or near you and just. Sit. If it fits it sits.
He's not going to let you hold his gear. He's not going to do it. You can let him hold yours but you aren't touching his. He won't even give you a reason, he's just going to say no and leave it at that.
Often, you'll be allowed to sit and watch Venomshank train Sword. Sword doesn't mind, and Venomshank sees it as an opportunity to teach you things as well. Most things, like how a gear is simply a piece of the whole of an Inphernal, an extention of oneself, you know. But some things you do learn.
Darkheart
Kill him. BOOOOOOOO. Anyway. He's annoying and mean when the relationship first starts. He still views you as lesser than him, but you are not equal to your fellow mortals. Give it time and he may eventually see you more and more as an equal.
He likes to poke and prod, and you are the one to be dealing with that. He's careful enough not to hurt you with his claws, but he's still going to be annoying. Swat his hands away and he'll just pick you up.
He doesn't need a key to your place, he's just going to appear. You are going to have to deal with it. Sometimes you get a warning, his stupid giggling faintly in your head before you turn around, run into his chest, and are trapped in a hug. Other times he just appears. For example, you've once stepped out of the shower to him just sitting on the ground in front of your sink. You did slip because you were shocked. You were fine though.
Cuddly. He's always hugging you or has an arm around you or you're being picked up and held. He just likes having you close.
You might be able to get his hat off him. Maybe. But if you get it off him, he's putting it on you. And if it looks big on him (him and his bigass hat, I want it) it'll be HUGE on you. He finds it hilarious.
If he isn't curled around you while you sleep, he's definitely watching you do so. In fact, he'll watch you go about your day. In the comfort of your home, he's following you like a lost puppy as you go about doing chores or trying to find something to do. He'll sit in the bathroom as you shower and just bask in your presence. When you go out in public, he can't openly follow you (which he has expressed his dissatisfaction with), so he'll either follow through your shadow or other shadows around you.
Do NOT complain to him because he will do something about it and you will not like it. Too hot in your room?? Snow. Inside. Covering everything. And he's giggling while you try to figure out how he fucking did it. Someone bothering you?? They totally came to apologize to you on their own and totally not because a certain chaotic entity spooked them by parading around as a shadowy version of tbeir loved ones and thought it'd be funny to torment them. Why are you blaming him, he was just finding entertainment. But yeah be very careful about complaining around him. It'll be changed!! But not in a fun way (to you, at least).
He learns your habits pretty quickly, following you around all the time. He learns your favorite drink, what genre of books you like, your hobbies, how you try to find the exact color code of your horns (I would do this and now you will too). Everything. He'll memorize your daily routine in no time. Sometimes he'll help. If you like coffee in the morning, he'll make it exactly like you do while you're still waking up. He'll move things around so it's easier for you to reach or he'll just hand things to you like your coat if it's cold out.
Sometimes you'll wake up to find Darkheart rearranged your furniture while you were sleeping. You'll either have to move it all back yourself or just deal with the new arrangement. He'll do this ever two ish?? Months. So once you get used to one arrangement, it changes. Have fun.
He's perfectly fine with you holding his gear. He just tells you to be careful with the sword because it's a thing of its own. If you present your gear to him, he'll do the same. But he might be the one to do it first. He'll also treat your gear with care. It's a part of you, of course he's treating it with care (even if he might mess around with it to see what it'll let him do with it).
Icedagger (ambiguous)
Every day you're around him, he's probably going to jump at or on you. I do not make the rules. He gets excited to see you and. Jumps. At you. Like Foxy jumpscare style.
He's definitely not scared of hurting you (even brags that he's the least likely to try hurting you, even if that would probably more describe Firebrand [pre-scorch]), but more wary of you being close when he does have his gear summoned. If it touches you, it's a one hit kill. So yeah, step back when he has it.
He can be kind of an asshole, but he is well-meaning. No please do not be mean to him he will cry. But he can be mean to you. Yes that's how it works. Yes you just have to deal with it.
Honestly, you may not even know he's Icedagger, to begin with. He blends in so well with other mortals that he just comes off as some any normal Inphernal with an ego. You'll need to know him for a while to actually get the lore drop that he's Icedagger. His wings may tip you off, but most assume he's got a moth/butteryfly related gear. He also just goes by Icey/Icy (he doesn't care much for the spelling of it), so you still call him that most of the time. Even in private. He's just Icy to you.
Hugs are really nice for him because you're warm and he really likes warm, but they suck for you. He's always freezing, his body temperature always sitting at just above freezing. You would ask how he isn't frozen yet, but also he IS a deity. Also related, but his hands are usually stuck perpetually in the first/second stages of frostbite. So he will hold them to your warmest areas because if he does it randomly you jump from the sudden cold and he finds that really funny.
He will have a key to your place. You have no clue where he stays and he refuses to tell you, so you'll just have to deal with randomly waking up with a freezing mass squishing you. He will also raid your kitchen of any snacks he enjoys, so you just have to deal with that too.
Sometimes, when you both are alone, he'll make little icicles on your face. Usually to mimic the whiskers of a cat. If your horns allow it, he'll also make little ears on top of your head. The ice doesn't melt, weirdly enough. It just sticks to you, but pulling it off doesn't hurt much.
Icedagger isn't always a meanie though!! If you guys are watching something on tv, no matter what it is, he's completely invested. You both are getting hit with the "commentary on movie while watching movie" beam. No, Icedagger cannot stay quiet while watching movies. Yes, you will add your own commentary or he's going to purposefully hold a hand to your neck. But he does genuinely enjoy watching tv with you. It's fun to spend that time together.
If you somehow fall asleep while leaning on him, he resigns himself to his fate and just sits there. While he doesn't NEED sleep, he may let himself do so in that moment.
If you ever were to present your gear to him, he'd probably do the same but with EXTREME caution. Again, he's not scared he'll hurt you, but he's still wary of you being around his gear. Not out of fear, but more discomfort. The more he cares for a person, the more uncomfortable he is with them being around his gear when it's summoned. But he would return the gesture even if just to show he cares about you and trusts you as well.
Firebrand
Truly how the relationship starts depends on when you meet him. Pre-Scorch, he's caredul but enthusiastic. Excitable too, you're someone he can care about and love and he's just so happy to try. Post-Scorch, it's a wonder you even wanted to meet him honestly. You'd have to have Windforce bring you to him, so you'd have to have befriended her AND brought up interest in meeting Firebrand AND have convinced Windforce to bring you to meet him. He's more wary now, more careful with you. What he would've let slide Pre-Scorch he won't let slide now.
Pre-Scorch: Microphone and Megaphone NEED to like you. Not tolerate, but LIKE you. They don't need to absolutely love you, but Firebrand wants them to want you around. So if they don't, that's gotta be a dealbreaker. Sorry.
Pre-Scorch: He's definitely cuddly, but it's not as bad as post-scorch. If you need to go, he'll let you go. But he loves loves loves holding you and just being around you. You make him so genuinely happy. If he tries to touch you with his hands, his gloves are on and you'll tell him if it starts to burn. But even if for just a moment, he wants to be able to hold your hand.
Pre-Scorch: He'll try to listen more when you're telling him something different than what he believes about you. If you tell him you can handle something he doesn't think you can, he'll let you do it but he's hovering and keeping an eye on you.
Pre-Scorch: Don't fall asleep around him he's so warm you'll be too comfy you won't wanna get up and in your comfortable tiredness he'll convince you to stay. "Five more minutes" turns into you being an hour late to work because the King of Crossroads wanted to cuddle for a little longer.
Post-Scorch: He is so so cuddly. Pre-Scorch he would've given you space, but now he just really really needs you as close as possible. He won't touch you with his hands, he's not going to do that. But his arms (and wings) will be wrapped around you. You may overheat. He is incredibly warm. You will not be let out until you need to leave. He also might try to hold onto you longer until Windforce pries you away from the whiny ex-king.
Post-Scorch: Windforce has to bring you to and from wherever Firebrand is hiding. She has joked about just leaving you with her brother so she isn't bothered by bringing you to him all the time, but has never actually done so. If Firebrand ever heard her say that, he might ask her to do just that.
Post-Scorch: If you give him any gifts, he'll ask you to set them in certain places so he can easily see them when you aren't around. Gifts from you make him feel like you aren't gone yet.
Post-Scorch: He's an avid listener. He wants to hear you talk about yourself, your life, your relationships with others. He wants to hear all of it. He wants to know as much as he can about you, because there's nobody else to tell him these things.
When it comes to his gear, again, it really depends on when. Pre-Scorch, he'll maybe, MAYBE let you hold it. You have to be very very careful because he doesn't want you to burn yourself with it. Post-Scorch, he won't let you NEAR it. If he summons it at all. And he'll refuse to hold yours because with hoe hot his hands are, he'll end up destroying it. While yes, you can just summon it again and it should be fine, he still will be incredibly upset with himself if he ends up destroying something you are giving to him to show how much you trust him.
Windforce
To even get into a relationship with her, you need to be both entertaining and tolerable. Most of the mortals she finds entertaining aren't tolerable, and most of the mortals she finds tolerable aren't entertaining. Once in the relationship, she won't hold you to as high standards as she does other mortals. "I hate this about mortals" but you are the exception. It isn't a quick thing to happen, but when it happens for the first time it's a pleasant surprise.
She's not very careful with you. You will get hurt, but you'll learn to deal with it. She isn't holding back just because you're with her. You're still a mortal, and she still views mortals as beneath her.
She doesn't care if you get along with Ban Hammer. He'll learn to deal with you eventually. She doesn't care much for his input on her partner(s). While yes, she'd prefer he like you, she doesn't care if he doesn't.
You'll learn to defend yourself. If you're with her, you're on the islands of Playground, which means you're also around Splintered Skies knights (if you aren't one of them already). If Windforce herself isn't teaching you, then the knights are. Windforce isn't always around, and you'll need to be able to stay alive if something happens (if a fight breaks out, she'd prefer you win).
Her actions of affection are grand gestures, and she'll expect gratitude from you. She'll accept any kind of affection from you, even if it's a small handmade trinket she doesn't know what to do with. She'll figure it out.
If you want food, she's taking some. It's best to make enough for one person and one larger person (if she's eating with you, she's eating a lot). She has her preferences on what she will and won't eat, but most things you end up making would fall under "will eat".
Forget about being insecure with her. She's not gonna let that happen. No, she's not going to use kind words to tear down your worries. She's going to use logic. "You have scars because a woind healed." "Being shorter doesn't mean you can't be stronger." Stuff like that.
She is NOT cuddly, but if you REALLY want her to hold you while you sleep she MIGHT. She does care about you (a little bit, but a relationship does require care from both sides) so she can do this for you. When you ask.
She's going to show you off to Firebrand after a like, a year or two of the relationship (he wanted to meet the mortal that intrigued Windforce enough for a relationship). You're going to meet him, and you're gonna be okay with that. If you don't want to see him after that first meeting, fine. Okay. She can deal with that. But you're going to meet Firebrand, be kind, and be respectful.
She'll show her gear off to you, but you can't touch it. She also won't touch yours, but it's more out of respect. She won't let you touch hers, it's unfair to touch yours. Later, when she's by herself, she'll wonder why she views your gear as deserving the same respect hers does.
Ghostwalker
The relationship starts out ROUGH. For you, at least. He doesn't feel love like how you do, if he feels it at all. You don't really know why he agreed to a relationship, but here you are.
He's not going to understand your wants. You need to be direct with him about anything. You want him to hold you while you sleep, tell him. You want him to sit with you while you eat, tell him. He's the Inpherno's version of the grim reaper, not a mind reader.
If you tell him your favorite books, they'll be set aside in their own little section of Ghosdeeri's library. She will find out through Ghostwalker and think you'll enjoy the gesture.
The Watchers (most of them) most likely already know who you are. Their jobs kind of require it. They tolerate you as long as you don't bother them. Not that Ghostwalker cares how they feel about you.
Him mimicking mortals with romance varies from day to day. Some days he'll bring you gifts, some days he'll sit in silence enjoying your company, some days he'll help you with day-to-day stuff. He's trying, and that's what matters.
You can give him a key to your place, but that doesn't mean he needs it. Usually, he just. Appears. In your home. If you want him there, it's easier to just be there instead of knocking on the front door/using his key to get in. He can just. Be there. Also, you can convince him to cook with you. Do what you will eith this information.
If you die while still with him, he won't bring you back. But, he won't move your soul on either. He'll keep you with him until you truly want to move on. When you do, he'll hold your soul one more time, let it soak in any warmth it can from his cold, gloved hands, then let you go.
His hands are cold, even with the gloves on. His gloves also have stains, so if you can wrestle them off him, you'll be allowed to wash them. He doesn't take them off often, and doesn't see much of a point in washing anything really. You may just have to clean him. Force him into a shower. He won't object, he'll just let you clean him.
He remembers every word you tell him, so don't be surprised if he brings up something you mentioned once in passing. If he's bringing you a gift, it's most likely something you said you maybe wanted or were just thinking about. You think it's thoughtful, he thinks it's logical. You wanted it. If he brings you something, it should be something you'll want or find useful. You have no idea how he gets some of these things without being seen out in public. He doesn't tell you when asked.
Touch his blade at your own risk, but he will inform you that doing so will kill you. He won't stop you if you try, though. If you offer him your own gear, he will treat it with the respect it deserves. His fingers will trace its edges, and he'll take in every detail you'll let him observe. He doesn't feel your trust in the action, only the faint curls of his version of curiosity. He's interested in his own way, and your gear is his new specimen.
Illumina
When the relationship first starts, Illumina is distant. He's still dealing with his own stuff, so just give him time. Him even entering the relationship with you is progress in and of itself. He just needs a bit longer to warm up to you being his partner now.
Once he's warmed up to you, he's protective and kinda clingy. Hugs are an often thing, and if you ever mention feeling unsafe, he may want to go with you (he knows he can't, but he'll want to. No one is going to mess with someone around a deity). He's also cuddly, but mostly when you're going to sleep. He very much enjoys holding you while you fall asleep.
Please please please run your fingers over and/or through his feathers. There have been times where he's sat down next to you and bumped his wing into your side to get you to touch it. It's his way of asking for attention without using words. He also just really enjoys the feeling + another set of hands can reach feathers he may not be able to. He'd let you clean/preen his wing if you asked.
He's cool to the touch, but can warm up pretty easily if you throw a blanket on him or something. If you have him wrapped in a blanket and cuddle up to him so he wraps his wing around you, it's pretty warm and comfy. Perfect nap spot. He'd let you nap there, too.
He's known for being distant and cold, but with you he smiles and laughs and is happy. This does take time, but once it starts, it's not stopping. He may even try to be a little silly. There are times where he comes to you upset, but his mood lifts just by being around you.
Don't try to give him a key. He's able to get in without one. If asked, he'll jokingly say magic and move on. It's the best explanation you're getting.
He will absolutely melt at any physical affection you give him. Hugs, kisses, holding his hand, initiating cuddling. Anything. He's a sucker for it. He'll reciprocate as well, probably with more enthusiasm than you.
You can have pictures of him, but only if you ask him. He doesn't like it if you take pictures of him without him knowing. You wouldn't like it, would you?? So don't do it to him.
If you end up having an argument or fight, he's leaving for a while. You may not see him for months at a time because he needs to cool down, and then he starts to spiral into thinking you hate him. When he does, eventually, come back, he'll act like he did when the relationship first started. Distant and cold. It's more of a test, to see if he can drive you away. It gets tiring, but it's how he'll be.
He'll wait for you to trust him with your gear before he trusts you with his. You bring him happiness, you make him excited, you bring him hope for even a fleeting moment of peace. He doesn't want to ruin that by forcing his gear into your hands when you aren't ready. He's very careful with yours, inspecting it and holding it gently.

🗡 - The trickster himself, to be quite frank, mortal and immortal agree that he would rather be able to toy with you rather than commit to something. You've seen how the other relationships of his go, one sided and always being played with like a doll. It's off putting if you wanted to be nice about it, the way nothing ever truly seemed to faze him. It's equally surprising that you've been now dating him for so long, the same joking energy never ceasing unless necessary.
🃏 - You're gonna be involved with so many jokes of his that you could practically consider yourself his partner in crime. You've swayed him in phights to either help heal a team rather than the other, or see them fly up from a bit of a too high jump boost. All in good fun I assure you, but if there was ever a moment where the people involved with this might have some words about it... Let's say Darkheart might be a bit less playful over what they say to you.
♥ - Ever since you've started to date him, you've always had to be prepared for impromptu fishing trips. Darkheart tells you that it's simply because he enjoys the company, his siblings would say how he'd probably be too insufferable to even accompany on. Either way, you join him as he catches fish and releases them, or when he just wishes to be given some extra time away. There's a point in his fishing where he stops the reeling in, and instead watches you fondly.
💚 - Darkheart has a habit of just picking you up for whatever. It seems to make him laugh (although what doesn't to some extent?) and it allows him to be close to you, so it should be a win win situation right? He has the habit to hold onto you exactly when you wish to do something or in the middle of it. Yes, he knows, and no, no you're not gonna be able to stop him unless you find some way out.
🍷 - It may just be wishful thinking, but the regular amused grin Darkheart wears seem ever so slightly more genuine to your eyes. It doesn't "soften" in the traditional sense, more so just seems as if he's less teasing and more actual with his smile. You'll never know if that's a right guess or not though, Darkheart is never going to tell you straight away, but there may be some truth to it.
🕸 - Remember those doorways from the comic? Well you have free reign to use them any time you'd like with him, just as long as you pay the fee (kisses). With that said though, the more you use it, the more you're gonna get teased for where you're ending up. "If we had to guess, that café you love to frequent?" A purr of his voice, Darkheart couldn't help but let his own laughter fly when you playfully rolled your eyes at him, "A person of habit, dear, we think it's cute."
🕷 - While reserved, there is a level of care put into your relationship that Darkheart never confirms he does. Typical of him really, but you suppose it's better than nothing. The runes that float around his arm pulse in satisfaction whenever you lean on him, a comfort and a distraction all in one. Honestly, that description fits your partner quite well.
Firebrand
🗡 - Is it any surprise that the one person out of all the Sword deities that can at least semi-talk to mortals has a partner? Quite frankly it's terrifying, the lingering folly of his child and his own inferno induced rage still looms over his now tarnished state. Most would now say you're insane for being with him, eyes blazing with terror over the fire that could be inflicted in your name, although you insure that it would never happen.
🔥 - In a pinch, sliding your arm through his own and hooking it together is usually how you both walk down. Side by side still, yet with the added benefit of having some part of yourself close enough to feel the warmth that radiates from Firebrand. You can even joke about how "chivalrous" it is, teasing him that even after all this time together as a couple he still finds ways to try and sweep you off your feet.
🌫 - Firebrand rises early, wishing to see the assortment of colors that hit the sky at sunrise. It gives him renewed strength to tackle another day, although he says it as if he's not immortal and is going to work through the grueling domains, but hey whatever helps him you guess. Most of the time you hardly even notice him moving from the covers, but the times you do get rustled awake, you try and witness the view of it with him.
🧡 - "I don't know why you're up with me darling, it's hardly even time for you to rise yourself." A faint chuckle, but Firebrand pulled you as close ad he could all the same. The warmth of his palms seeped into your skin, causing you to blink slowly and grapple with a consciousness that threatened to slip away. He's just so... So cozy. When you inevitably drifted back to sleep,the last bits you heard from Firebrand was a compliment on how the sunlight could never be more beautiful than you, soft rays of orange scattering across the sky.
🌋 - Deeper in the relationship, you start to work up the courage to run your fingers over the molten rock that makes up his horn, as well as let your hand rest on the rough texture that encases where his right eye would be. You take every touch as delicately as you can, trying to make sure you don't burn yourself or cause any sharp movements to knick yourself. It feels quite nice actually, like a big old heat lamp.
❤️ - Firebrand likes to do more "old" displays of affection towards yourself. Opening up doors for you, kissing your knuckles after long days, there's just something so wholeheartedly tender about the way he stares at you, his lips pursed in a smile that melts your heart whenever you see it. Being charming should certainly be a crime when it comes to him, he's almost too good at it.
♨️ - Despite the flames that lick your hands whenever Firebrand is near, or the way the temperature spikes to such drastic levels it almost feels like mid-summer, there's something so gentle about how he regards you, his loving partner after a day of missing each other. Fire can be both destructive and comforting, it all depends on what it's used for, you just so happen to find comfort in the radiant flames.
Ghostwalker
🌑 - How could the one that could take and bring the dead back to a self that once was so devoid of that same prying warmth? It's not like Ghostwalker really fretted with that sort of thing before he met you, only passing the souls on that lay waste around the bitter Inpherno. There's a new sense of revigoration though after you both have been together for... Gosh, how long was it? The way time blurred was as if he was the one in a hollow state instead of those he called the dead.
👻 - Alright, to get it out of the way now instead of a bit on, Ghostwalker has his own version of "love" he shows to you. It's generally like how you'd expect from others, hand holding and the like being thrown in, but there's this air of disconnect. He's not sure his dead heart can really feel something that's close to the sickening feeling that is a racing heart with a lover, but there is at least something sort of there whenever you pass by.
😶 - "I'll return later, please be safe." The tone was almost unmistakable from the one Ghostwalker uses with all the others around him, yet, at the edge of his voice could you hear something akin to warmth from his frozen soul. Although imperceptible to some as well, his head turned to you with a nod, wave almost embarrassingly twinged with a flourish that felt kind.
🪦 - Unfortunately though for you, watching him do the whole "kinda equivalent of the Grim Reaper" isn't in the cards. The very mention of it sounds just so... Nerve wracking, to say the least, so you take a pass on showing up while he's doing that. On the flipside though, he probably wouldn't let you see much of it anyway.
🎞 - Since Ghostwalker is the creator of Ghostdeeri and her siblings, you've sometimes pour through the knowledge that's at your fingertips when your beloved is away. Tomes upon tomes span across shelves of slowly aging books, the pages still (just barely) crisp from infrequent upkeep. You've noticed that one of the books is titled Death, and the One Who Loves It, which certainly means nothing correct? You're sure not everything is written down by the Watchers.
✒ - You absolutely adore showering him with affection no matter how long you've both been together. Kisses to his jaw that leaves his own glasses askew, the crosses over his eyes almost sparkling to life from shock. There's something so funny to you to envision that if he did have a mouth, it'd probably be open from each press of your lips, or maybe it'd return the favor in spades?
📖 - A tether to the shaky spectacle that is life, Ghostwalker is painfully soft on you. The way his hands rest in a manner almost mimicking delicate, hearing you talk about the way you live in contrast to his own, how the flush of your cheeks when hot days clouded over the Inpherno. All of it spoke of something that could be pinned down as soft. For as long as you lived by Ghostwalker's side, he solemnly vowed to hold the life that you have breathed into his very existence.
Illumina
🕯 - There's few feelings (and words) to describe the might of the Illumina. If his own cryptic runes doesn't provide enough of a spectacle, then an unfortunate Inphernal will certainly be entertainment enough. Despite his more "stern" qualities, the veil he uses for himself can be lifted for just a passing moment. Not to discard it, oh on his name he'd never do that, but to allow the trickling love he has envelope you and pull you into his orbit. You're not an outlier he deems wasteful, you're the very reason his eyes seem to take on light that looks pure instead of scorned.
☁ - If you've been around Illumina long enough to remember both of his wings, congrats! But if your relationship started after his one has been severed, then that's still fine as ever too. While he would've preferred to hold you close with both of his feathery wings, feeling that he can at least keep you nearby with one is just enough. He never truly says why, but it's the feeling of being able to protect you that makes his lips turn just slightly.
🏛 - You're gonna have some sort of thing to denominate your relationship with him. You remember the Follower Sword and Follower Katana skins? Think of that for yourself, or at least the color scheme for it. Yours will look more fit of a deity by word of Illumina, although really you just think he wants to match with you and be cute. Don't say that to him, he's NEVER gonna live those thoughts down.
🕊 - Illumina has taken quite the liking to dancing with you, often leading you in a slow sway through a waltz unfamiliar. It's calm, the motions fluid as water with each turn and dip Illumina pulls you through, his hands never ceasing to relent from their holding position even when it feels hours have passed.
🐚 - Nothing is ever really said as Illumina spins you, his eyes steady fast on your frame to gauge any discomfort or dizziness. It's almost poetic how the one whose voice could render someone struck useless is now saying nothing, seemingly just taking in the moment bit by bit. His lone wing brushes against your back, guiding corrections when you get tripped up over your own feet, or just to give encouragement that is as soft as his wing is.
🌼 - A guilty pleasure of Illumina's is to be in the same room with you, it doesn't matter what you do or say to him, just as long as he can be by your side. His breathing evens out, and he can wave away whatever his day has entailed, his shoulders leaning back to give his demeanor change. He may even ask you what you're working on if there's something you're focused with, your voice is the most beautiful melody he has ever been blessed with hearing after time spent apart.
😈 - For someone so powerful, the way you reduce those same abilities to nothing but a thought is quite impressive. The voice of someone used to winning wars of the tongue, eyes never ceasing to stare and break those who oppose his own notions, Illumina never did think that he'd find a person like yourself that could make his voice less sharp than his sword. It's a mystery he couldn't quite let himself care to ponder, oh how has he changed.
Venomshank
🌱 - The one who goes against all that has been laid out, taking in a mere mortal child as if his own jaw couldn't snap at those lower than himself. Venonshank certainly is seen as a weirder one among them all, especially since he's just so close to one of those lowly mortals. Yes, that's you that he calls his loving partner, although the "lowly" part is entirely by his siblings teasing of how he let the normal venom he gives off to be nullified by his antidote, the one person to let his smile shown true.
🧟 - There's apprehension, even when you two have been together for so long, but you've been able to catch glimpses of Venomshank's actual face in quiet moments. The sharp teeth of someone who's bite is meant to tear, posture tense as the vaguest of fumes escape the poisonous jaw of your beloved. He doesn't want you to see him like this, but worries are quelled when you get by his side.
🐍 - A shaky inhale, hands wrapped tight around you at the faint point of teeth dig into your neck. It wasn't... Uncomfortable per say, just present, present in the way you never felt scared in his grasp. Present in the way where Venonshank's eyes have been open this whole time, gauging every little movement as if you'd flinch from a mere shifting of position. You wouldn't do that though, a hum came from your throat st the softness of the moment, a graze of a kiss from Venomshank's lips as a response.
🪶 - Sisyphus doesn't do this to anyone, so him resting on your shoulder is quite the impressive feat. His claws don't dig into your clothes too badly, just enough to be fastened securely without having too move an inch afterwards. You've sometimes forgotten that he's even there, soft feathers blending into the background as you work on other things. Venomshank always melts over just how... Tenderly domestic it comes across to himself.
💚 - Obligatory mention of Sword, you know I had to do it but depending on how close you and Venom are, he could see you as an extra parent to him. If we're going with you and Venom have been together for a while... Let's say Sword might slip up on words and say "parents" instead of "parent", but he does apologize if you're not comfortable with that sorta thing.
☠️ - As deeply intoxicating (and down right dangerous) as a bite from Venomshank can be, turning the brightest of Inphernals into reanimated corpses that serve him, you've never been put off from it. You actually tease the guy from how awkward he can be with his mask, saying that he really does strike fear in the hearts of others looking like a little bird. He's had a multitude of expressions from that statement alone, but it shifts into a drawn out sigh, couple with a roll of his eyes you can't see.
🦷 - The love Venomshank feels for you can't be described. It's neither small or large, rather all encompassing in day to day life with you as his partner. While he wields hands that can rip apart those he chooses to cut short, eyes blazing with fury of that who wishes to enrage him, there is the memory of the one who can shake him out of his deepest trances: that being you of course. Just like how his rapier can pierce the hearts of many an enemy, you have full well done the same for him.
Windforce
🌪 - The untamed spirit of the wind herself gets a partner that can calm the roaring? Almost anyway, she has become just slightly less intense in your presence than most, but her own temper can still rush into a hurricane if she so chooses... Just this time for your protection instead of demise.
🌩 - Windforce is about as bold as you think she'd be around you, except there's the edge of her more reckless nature pushed back in place for something... Dangerously softer. She's weary of you not being immortal like her, so instead of you greeting her in the eye of the storm, she kisses you at the outside of it, arms outstretched in a loving hug to cherish.
🌠 - Now, she still teases you of course, calling you her "little partner" and saying how she can't believe a pipsqueak like you made her grow fonder. She means it lovingly, you can just practically hear the adoration she tries to hold back with her guarded form, but it always manages to sneak into her voice as she roars her booming laugh. Windforce has her fun, you have yours, which includes trying to lift up her helmet to tease her back, peppering kisses in retaliation.
🌁 - You remember her special guards right? You usually don't mess with them often, but rest assure that they know of you plenty. "Remember! Just 'cause I might have my eyes sweet on someone, doesn't give you all the right to get one over on me. I expect better from those who pledge themself to the sky itself!" Windforce ends it with a cackle, even though it felt like hours were wasted from hearing her talk about how wonderful you are. Swords above, help them.
🐦 - She's actually got the variety of names she calls you while being together, most notably she defaults to just saying darling a ton, but sweetheart, love, lovely, and - albeit more sparingly used - her sunlight / sun. If she's the sky itself, that must make you the sunlight that cuts through the blue to shine down on all it sees. "My sunlight, it's been too long." She beams at you, even if it's only been a few moments of parting between you both.
🦅 - Flying around with her wings is a favorite pass time of the both of you, your hands wrapped loosely around her as she clutches you in contrast. You know she'll never let you fall, she's actually never even made a jab about trying it once the first few days of being with her wore off, instead just holding tenderly with each wing beat. Over the howling wind (ha) when you both have gotten high enough in the sky, Windforce tells you that you're much more radiant then that of the sunset sky.
💛 - While those who have been cast aside by her armored hands would disagree, spout insults to the one who's let their own falling be nothing more of an annoying matter to be dealt with, you never let it get to you. Windforce is devoted to those she loves, even more so to the one who's managed to capture her heart in love instead of combat. It's funny, but every since Windforce started to date you all those months ago, she's had a bit of a change of heart when it comes to mortals. How fickle of her.
