Finally done with my Easter redesigns! I really love Easter toon and other holidays toons well, I feel like they’re the most well written and have more depth than non-holiday (which I hope gets fixed later).

Bassie

I said a lot abt Bassie already, so I guess I’ll just talk about her song and o me gosh o me gosh o me gosh o me gosh o me gosh-

The song confirms most of my hc about her. her mental illness, her complicated relationship with Cocoa, and that her jealousy isn’t an angry one, but a desperate, admiring, “what does she have that I don’t?” envy. She attempts to copy her to find the secret when there is none. It’s just simply how they were made, she was the meek shy one, and Cocoa was the helpful extrovert. One could say that also reveals how she twisted, that being that her envy and jealousy took hold of her, and by the time she realized Cocoa wasn’t the real problem.

It was already too late…

I admit it wasn’t really expected, I kind of thought it would be like “ abstraction” when Bassie it slowly going insane due to jealousy and starts to twist. I think the reason why the song isn’t too beloved is because many people have different interpretations of Bassie, and it didn’t really match up when they listen to the song. However, this is Qwel’s character and we can’t tell them what’s right for her.

Cocoa

Oh Cocoa, the sweet sunshine child.

Tends to be overly helpful, you said you don’t need help, you fool, you said that like you have a choice in the matter. This isn’t of course, from a place of malice, she loves helping her friends, just sometimes a bit too much.

Looks up to Bassie, she admires her kindness, soft-spoken voice, and beauty. She always wants to help others out so they don’t have to worry or stress, perhaps that’s where her love of helping others come from?

tried to make her ears stand up upright when she was younger. This reflecting the fact that baby lop ear bunnies will try to make their ears stand upright due to them being around other bunnies with straight ears and believing that how they’re supposed to look. I didn’t know how to reflect this since there are not any bunny toons around, but then I thought about her seeing Yatta, eclipse and scraps ears and thinking “is that how my ears should look?” She eventually stopped when her ears started to get really heavy and looking at her show counterpart, which has floppy ears.

Bassie gifted her the Yellow hyacinth, she loves them and gets sad when they wilt. When she does she ask Bassie for some new ones, however whenever she does, she has this guilty look on her face…

Flyte

Pretty boy- (in any way you like)

Kinda on the sidelines of Bassie and Cocoa’s drama. Is willing to help them out, but doesn’t want but in.

Bassie usually talk to him about any issues or anything happening in her day while pressing flowers.

Bassie see him and Flutter as her baby siblings.

Flyte and Flutter are friends with Squirm, meeting when they were all caterpillars and inspiring Squirm’s want to transform.

Eggson

He isn’t just a papa, he’s the papa that stepped up

Raised the Easter toons + some other bird toons

since in the AU, there was 1900’s version of the show before it got rebooted into the 2000s, and in the 90s version, Eggson was a lot younger.

Toons were released in a “batch” instead of one by one to save time. Eggson was probably made in the “common batch” and was the first one finished and released.

used to have toon handler but he outlive them all.

The Azaleas were given to him by his children! (Bassie, Flyte, Cocoa and Flutter)

is unaware about his daughter’s “drama” (they didn’t want to tell him)

This is just my theory, but I don't think Bassie's motive to hurt Cocoa was envy and jealousy. Yes, she envied Cocoa. But I think Bassie has trust issues since she learned early that if she has something good, someone will take it, because she feels she is worthless and that is all people want from her, and she has no idea Cocoa does not know about Delilah trying to replace her, and thinks Cocoa is trying to be the Easter Main and that hurts her, making her angry at Cocoa since she is a lot in her head and has nightmares a lot so she thinks Cocoa will betray her like Delilah and Arthur, since her self worth issues make her think nobody wants her for her. So realising about the Cocoa plushies shocked her, but seeing them in the Easter area and the Bassie plushie on the floor caused her to think Cocoa was using her and her anger to Cocoa is due to her thinking Cocoa was using her for years, but seeing the Bassie plush on the floor in the Easter Map made her think Cocoa did this or enjoys this, but the real motive for trying to kill Cocoa was the fact that she thought Cocoa would try to kill her once she has everything she has since she thinks she is too worthless for someone to want to keep her alive once her role as the Main Easter Toon is gone since she defines her self worth on that role and not wanting to be betrayed turning into doesn't want to die, rather than doesn't want to share, and Cocoa is kind but can be overwhelming and unaware her energy causes others to think she wants to replace them (ie Bassie and Cocoa plush situation, Cocoa and Sprout situation) even though her overwhelming desire to help and share and make friends is because she wants friends and to be loved and she is unaware that she was going to a replacement.
