It’s been forever since she’s been inside the double kill practice rooms (six whole years to be precise) and so when she passes them on her way to meet with Kwon Byungjo himself ( actually in the flesh, and not just via phone call) to discuss her contract she can’t help but dawdle so much so that she ends up pressing herself against the door to peer inside. Perhaps it’s invasive, but she doesn’t really think about that, not at first anyway, and so she continues to peer in, until her eyes come across a familiar figure. Well.. most figures were familiar, but not in the way that she knew them personally. “June?” Without another thought, she turns the door handle and crosses the distance to her ‘friend’.
Once upon a time, Willow was incredibly jealous of the youngest member of Mellow. Mainly because of the fact that she had been able to debut before Willow, even though she’d trained longer, and in her opinion harder. It’s why she’d left in the first place. It’s kind of strange now that she’s back, but nice at the same time. There’s a sense of familiarity. “Bet it’s weird seeing me here huh?” she greets with a wide smile. It’s only been a few days since the news had spread about Lotus, and so her emotions were all over the place. One moment she was extremley happy, the next, devestated. She hopes that for junes sake, she can control them at present. “I’ve got a meeting with the CEO” she quips in addition in an attempt to ease the confusion she was sure would wipe across June’s face any moment now.
“You’re lying, right?!”
She shakes her head. Once, twice, three times in slow succession. “A.) you should know by now that I don’t lie and B.) I’m not lying.” a slither of a smile sweeps across the curvature of cherry tinted lips as Willow moves to push a strand of silky hair behind her ear and out of the way. “You heard the news huh… we had some… disagreements and whatever I mean it’s not important, what happens in the past stays in the past right, but you know what? I think things are finally looking up.” she’s babbling, talking too much because she still doesn’t know how to talk about the subject. Everything was happening so fast. A single glance down to the watch strapped around the circumference of her wrist lets her know she still has thirty minutes to kill before the time her interview was scheduled. She internally praises herself for always being early. “I’ve still got some time to kill… do you want to head down to the cafeteria for a bit? We can share one of those tiny muffins like we used to.”
Her day had been filled with practice and more practice, leaving her shared dormitory at the early hours of just 5 AM to arrive at the building and spend the following hours polishing her vocals and her dancing for their upcoming comeback. Something she had been more than determined for, so much she’d barely found a break in between. It’d been a long time since they’d last shown their faces to the public, at least as a group and therefor she’d wanted to be her absolutely best in order to show a positive and admirable side of the group, one that fans had been waiting for, for a long time. This had been one of the many reasons she had never even sensed the other’s appearance. Her attention had been focused on the mirror in front of her while her fingers were wrapped around the microphone and her voice sounded loudly through the room.
It was only when she heard the loud creak of the door through the music and a familiar voice, that she stopped in her tracks and turned to face the source of the sound. It took her a few seconds until she realized who exactly the person in front of her was, not because she didn’t recognize her but because it was the last person she expected to see in front of her, especially after her departure from Double Kill and the disbandment of her group-- something June of course had picked up along the way. How could she not have. While on her way to turn off the music, she was already given an explanation of her appearance and it had brought a natural smile to her lips. Surprising, but in a good way.
‘Well, considering you’re standing here in front of me things must be going well.’ she spoke, assuming the female would be considering her contract with the label, things would look sunny for the female. ‘It’s been a few hours, I think I can take a break.’ she spoke as she brushed some of her stray strands from her sight. ‘Let’s go grab a coffee and some muffins then.’ It was a familiar phrase she hadn’t said in a long long time but it felt pretty nice. Though the two weren’t always on great terms, considering some of the rough patches the other had gone through while June had been handed everything fairly easily, at least up until her debut. Her debut itself was a rocky start but she was doing pretty good for the time being. ‘So you’re thinking of re-signing with 2K then? It’s been a while, what made you decide this?’
