readjusting to a life with little to no apparent purpose is foreign for the puella magi. when everyday was a struggle to both fulfill her duty and save herself from her own despair, living idly like an ordinary citizen was not her cup of tea. her traces of magic were dim, her powers nearly useless. and so, her fingers itch, crave for some fun, some excitement. some food would be welcome as well.Â
as crimson cast upon the other, they linger in contemplation. though a former priestâs daughter, sheâs forgotten most of her fatherâs teachings. it wasnât because she never listened, it was more so a defense mechanism to drown out the memories of her family -- of her fatherâs rage. so when she crosses paths with a winged creature, one of the unholy nature no doubt, she doesnât flinch. no, with years of witch hunting under her belt, it would take more than a vampire to faze her. instead, she approaches, almost as if mesmerized by the colorful crystals.
â you, yer an interestinâ one. i figure those things of yers are pretty useless in a rain storm. â with a flick of her head, she gestures towards the otherâs backside. â ya donât carry âround a raincoat, do ya? â ( @willthereben0neâ )

He really does need to learn to watch where heâs going. Still, skyscrapers are a marvel to him, and he just canât help but look up. Normal reaction, right? Yet here he was, walking into someone. The normal thing would be to apologize, so heâd do so in his own way.
âThanks for not falling over. Wasnât watchinâ where I was goinâ.â
Scratching the back of his head, heâd offer a sheepish smile.
âNo matter how much I travel, the taller the buildinâ, the more I have to look at âem, yeah?â
What a brightly coloured individual, very standout even without the wings. But even as eye catching as she was, the visual attention paled to the scent. It was similar yet different to one sheâd encountered in the city before but what set it apart was a quality quite unlike anything else.
There was the scent of iron too.
âHello there, are those your wings? Theyâre very pretty.â
âForgive me if youâre busy, I couldnât help myself.â
âUuuurrrrraaaaahhhh!â Came another growl of frustration, and the girl shook the phone in her hand as if to punish it for doing something wrong.
âHow the heck am I supposed to know where to go around this weird city if I canât get the GPS to work?! What do you mean I canât get any internet?!â
Grumbling still, it was shoved angrily into Sayakaâs pocket, and she noticed the gaze of another girl about her age.
A small groan escaped the mouth of the maid as she finally woke up. âMiss Patchouli! Miss Patchouli!!â A little devilâs voice rang throughout the grand library.
âGood grief. You donât have to shout so loudly, Koakuma. I heard you the first time.â The magician closed a grimoire that she had been reading and hoisted herself up to walk over to the maid that was laying on the couch. âI see youâre finally awake, Miss Sakuya.â
The maid was in nothing but her small clothes with her shoulder wrapped in bandages. Sakuya opened her eyes to see the magician hovering above her. âMiss...Patchouli?â
The magician frowned. âYouâve been out for a couple of days, Miss Sakuya. Iâve kept an eye on you here ever since the young mistress dumped your body onto my desk like a bloodied rag doll.â Patchy pressed the bridge of her nose with one hand. âHow many times must I warn you. The overuse of your powers is detrimental to your health as long as you are a human. I surely thought that these would be your last days, yet here you are.â
Sakuya said nothing as she attempted to get up, but was stopped by sharp pain everywhere; most notably in her left shoulder. She reached over with her right hand to feel the bandages that were covering her.
âDonât you even think of getting back up. Youâre going to lay there until I decide that itâs safe enough to release you back into your quarters. I still need to make sure that temporal effects of your accident arenât lingering. Oh and, Koakuma treated your stab wound. The mistress told me everything she knew that happened. Alice had come into the mansion to visit and ended up stabbing you in the back and also attempted to harm the mistress. However she was soon thrown out.â
Sakuyaâs heart ached as she said that. Alice. Alice. She came into the mansion to spend time with Sakuya and then, she betrayed the trust she had built with Sakuya. Sheâs no better than the humans from the outside world. They were always silently waiting for a chance to strike. To catch Sakuya off guard. She didnât love her. She just wanted to use her to get close to Remilia and cause harm to her. She was stupid for falling for such a trick. Sakuya lay back down and turned over away from Patchouli.
âMeiling is going to bring you a your meal soon. Just lay there and wait until she comes. Iâve already applied the salve that will mend your wounds caused by your time manipulation. You should be fully healed within a week.â No response from the maid. Patchouli simply just sighed and sat back in her chair, waiting for Meiling with Sakuya.

Amuutseba approached with a smile on her face, leaning forward with the posture and mannerisms of one addressing a child in an overly excited way. They looked like branches with gems hanging down, marvellous really and she had always been drawn to such things.Â
She straightened herself back up and the six tendrils on her back mimicked the shape of the girls wings, with the red tips representing the gem like shapes.Â
âHah! Look at that, though Iâd dare say yours are more dazzling. We should get a picture together! I insist.â
The dead of the night in Fibonacci. Mokou couldnât help but find herself wandering with only the faint street lights to illuminate her path. Usually she didnât even have that much. Letâs see, this was the third level? She was pretty sure she rose a level or two since she started her nightly walk at the very least.
Out of the corner of her eye, she could have sworn she saw someone else. Blonde hair, red clothes...a child? Wasnât anyone she had ever seen before; was she lost? âHey. This isnât really the time of night for a kid to be wandering about.â
Eyes gleaming as he rushes toward a certain booth, Kanji takes a large whiff of the bowls on display. Piping hot and ready to eat, served just like Aiyaâs... was the famous, BEEF BOWL. Immediately, he grabs a bowl and chopsticks, chowing down on it sloppily. Just like home... His taste buds reveled in the nostalgic flavors. As all sorts of juices started flying in all directions, a passerby was unfortunately caught in the crossfire.
âThis shitâs as good as I remember it! Give me five of these!â
