RIP, Ja’Net DuBois. A two-time EMMY-winning actress, best known for her portrayal of #WillonaWood on the @TheNormanLear-produced sitcom, #GoodTimes (a spin-off of #Maude, that was itself a spin-off of #AllInTheFamily); DuBois co-wrote (with #JeffBarry) and sang #MovinOnUp, the theme song to #TheJeffersons (yet another Lear spin-off). And while it was never released as a single, “Movin’ on Up” remains one of my very favorite TV theme songs, to this day.
