They are trying to limit a lot more

"First, KOSA would allow the government to pressure social media platforms to erase content that could be deemed “inappropriate” for minors. The problem is: there is no consensus on what is inappropriate for minors. All across the country we are seeing how lawmakers are attacking young people’s access to gender affirming healthcare, sex education, birth control, and abortion. Online communities and resources that queer and trans youth depend on as lifelines should not be subject to the whims of the most rightwing extremist powers and we shouldn’t give them another tool to harm marginalized communities.

Second, KOSA would ramp up the online surveillance of all internet users by expanding the use of age verification and parental monitoring tools. Not only are these tools needlessly invasive, they’re a massive safety risk for young people who could be trying to escape domestic violence and abuse.

Dozens of LGBTQ+ and civil rights groups agree that KOSA is dangerous and updates to the bill haven’t addressed the core concerns advocates have about its impact on already often censored content and resources. "

The people who are in the communities that he was in have every right to be livid. And I honestly do not blame them, the community that I'm currently in has disappointed and honestly disgusted me. The fact that people genuinely think that it's okay to harass, and even now to not give the slightest bit of sympathy. To a person with a disorder who needed help, shame nothing but shame to those people.

My inbox is open to anyone, this includes radqueers, Endos, and anybody else. If you want to rant, scream, and just honestly get all those emotions out. Please do so in my inbox, as an adult I feel like I have a responsibility to do to protect people in these situations. The fact that I've seen so many people brush it off, or even say that they're glad that wha-t-doth-life committed, disgusts me.

This is not somebody who offended and harmed people, this was a minor who was troubled, who needed help. And people are too stuck up in their own asses to see that.

So like shelix, I will also be taking accountability for this community. Even though I'm not the Creator nor am I popular in the community, it is still my community. That makes me partially responsible. So please if you are going to use my inbox to vent, do not use it to harass me. I want it's to be a place that people can safely Express how they're feeling about this terrible tragedy.
