After shooting a text off to Will to let him know she was outside, she looked up from her phone to properly take the place in. She'd passed by a few times but had never really considered it fully, and she was half-amused by how the vibe of the adorable little B&B in front of her sort of clashed with the vibe she got from its owner. It'd been a while since she'd seen him and she figured it was good to seem attentive and check in with her clients, especially when they had a history of paying her as much money as he had.

She headed up the steps and took a seat on a couch on the porch, idly taking her lighter out of her pocket to flick on and off, just to have something to do with her hands. When she noticed a presence in her periphery, she didn't look up to check it was Will before she said, "I feel like I probably know the answer to this, but am I allowed to smoke out here?"

It'd been a little over a month since Niko and Mikayla had started spending time together, and despite largely spending the last decade or so of his life isolating himself from the prospect of dating again, he was finding that he was getting into the swing of things rather easily. Most nights were spent at either of their places, even if only just to sleep, which was why Niko found himself exiting her house early that morning -- only to realize he'd been parked in.

Brows narrowed as another male started up the driveway, with Niko giving him a quick once over. He looked sort of familiar; a face he'd surely seen before around town, but not one he could put a name to -- the cut he adorned surely captured his attention, though. Of course, the capo wouldn't have classified himself as the jealous type; no, he was the protective type, but perhaps his body language wasn't exactly helping his case as he assessed the other. "On my way out." Niko gestured towards the vehicle parked behind his black Bentley. "Didn't realize the Sons drove anything with more than two wheels." He remarked wryly.

After Lemie had told him she needed a half hour before she could actually leave the place, Lucky had been caught in a stretch of time where leaving would be a waste because he would just have to turn back shortly after and staying was a bore.

He did the latter and decided to entertain himself by seeking out some sort of clarity on a sneaking suspicion.

It hadn't been difficult to get passed the front desk and sidestep his way into the office -- someone should probably have a look at that, he thought -- making himself at home in the chair that had been tucked against the desk. He wished he had a newspaper for the vibes, but he had to make do with a menu that he held up to cover his face until he heard the door open and he lowered it.

"Good afternoon, Wiliam." At least he hopped it was William, he didn't look like a Wilbert.

Reina’s always had a way of remaining calm and calculated in times of high stress — unless it’s an event she’s throwing or a competition she needs to win, then her neurotic side loves to come out to play. However, over the last few months it’s become harder and harder to stay relaxed around the cops, and that’s a problem she’s never had before. There’s no reason for it, her husband’s missing person case has basically been claimed cold after no leads were found, and they’ve been off her ass about it for awhile now but she still can’t stop thinking it’d been too easy for her to get away with, and the other shoe is going to drop eventually. That’s why Reina’s made it a point lately to shmooze it up with the sheriff’s department, and Will Callahan is no exception. She’s not sure if he’d recognize her just by face, but she assumes he would given the fact that he more than likely knew the small amount of details they had on Jason’s disappearance — and Reina sure as hell knows exactly who he is, despite the fact that he hasn’t been in town very long. She’s always been one to keep her finger on the pulse. “Detective,” she greets the man, giving him a rare but charming smile as she does so. “Let me get your coffee today. It’s the least I can do for all the hard work you’ve been putting in lately.”

“i thought i’d find you out here,” leon said, his voice low, in an effort not to startle...well, not so much her as the weather. he cast an uneasy glance at the sky, part wary squint, part angry scowl. it looked like it might snow soon. or hail, if he was particularly unfortunate. and leon was not feeling particularly fortunate. not with that look on will’s face, not with that gunshot still ringing in his ears. after a moment, he glances down again, tearing his eyes from the gray sky and focusing them, instead, on the gray ground. snow had been scuffed with dirt until it was chaotic black and gray mess, shaped mostly by boot prints, except for one little pristine corner. the powder there was almost fresh, still not turned to ice, and something not quite a grave and not quite an altar resided amongst it. his hands flexed, itching to rest on her shoulder, itching to lift her off the ground, off the snow seeping through the knees of her jeans. it’s so cold. aren’t you so cold? instead, he unwound the absurdly long scarf from his neck and draped it over her shoulders, looping once, then again, and pulling the edge over the crown of her head. he pulled up the hood of his jacket once he was done, feeling it press down against his head and then bounce back up from his curls. he’d been meaning to ask will to cut it for him all week. now he wondered if he’d have the chance before... “penny for your thoughts?” he asked, breaking his own line of thought. he paused, then thrust his hands into his pockets, digging around for a moment before triumphantly removing a fist. he opened his fingers, and glanced down at his palm. “actually a...a nickel, a piece of pocket lint, three cat treats, and a five dollar bill for your thoughts?”

"Why am I not surprised you jumped at the chance to play hero the second that sandstorm came through?" Eve murmured as she handed will a beer, leaning over momentarily to adjust the pillow that lay right below her friend's ankle. "You're lucky you didn't get any lasting lung damage -- my dad had emphysema, you know. It ain't pretty." Once she'd sufficiently lectured Will to death, she took a seat in the recliner beside him and twisted the top off of her own drink. "Is it just me, or has there not been a single event in this damn town that hasn't gone to the shitter in the last two years? I say we stay clear from now own, become completely anti-social. Maybe buy a farm -- animals don't carry bombs or guns or bring about natural disasters."
