⚔ A sudden light appeared before his eyes and Byleth raised his hand to shield his blue hues from any incoming harm. Of course, once he opened them again he seemed to be at an altar, a far different location than the monastery in which he was a professor... What had just happened? Where was he? He only heard a voice... One different than Sothis’ and now he was in this mysterious place, a stranger with a familiar aura in front of him.

like a wild flower ; she spent her days , allowing herself to grow , not many knew of her struggle, but eventually, all knew of her light.

she is like a rose flower .   her scent goes deeper into the bushes , && sometimes she attracts the wild into her castle.   so they come in waves ; without mercy , they step on her side growing petals .   Now part of her is dead / gone .   && after all that , she still blossoms .   Glowing from a distance , as if nothing ever happened .

The is not a single flower to describe Emmeryn. There are too many. Daisies / Lilies / Chamomille / Heliotrope / the Lotus. All describe her, and yet not a single one can describe her well enough. Innocence , purity, devotion, patience, healing, restoration, life, && revival… Many are associated with her – it is all up to interpretation for others. That is why when she is given bouquets, not one is the same. She isn’t given a single type of flower – but that is okay. In fact, that is better, for she would much rather have a garden full of variety than to have a lone kind. 

Her favourite flower, however, is the lotus ( article has been linked for your reading). Not that she would ever tell anybody of this, but she finds comfort && special kind of association in them. So they will always have a special place in her heart for them.

In addition to that though, there is so much symbolism for the lotus. Just about, if not, all of its meaning is what she believes in herself. The most important one, however, is rebirth. Emmeryn believes in reincarnation. While you can ask her what that means, she could go on for hours discussing such a topic and still leave you without true definition. She will always leave it up in the air about it and will always be so vague. Sometimes its frustrating but you will find her sometimes going off about the lotus in this sense and what other cultures and religions think of it.

All of that aside though, Emmeryn is very much a flower herself though. Her motifs of divinity and grace is very strong. but she also… very much has a floral aesthetic to her as well. Not so much bright and colourful, but rather, it’s the other side of the flora. The stubbornness. The power of will.  As well as the grace and the beauty. She is capable of so much. You put all of that stress on her, all of that responsibility and pressure? she still comes out better than most. She manages to take it all with strides – never, not once, allows her heart to blacken.

Like the Silent Princess, she truly is the most rare &&  beautiful thing the world has ever been given. 

the flower that blooms in adversity is the rarest && most beautiful of all .

It’s unfortunate the world is so undeserving of her.

That aside. Another thing to consider though. Like as a side note: Emmeryn has a green thumb. While she’s never so much one to actively make a garden or seek out flowers, she does find joy in the random ones that she finds that grow in the most random places. She finds a something growing in the windowsill that shouldn’t be there? She will cry out with glee and root for her new, little flower friend. She will protect and cherish that plant.
