Listening to the most fascinating tea on the train to the airport atm.
Apparently this lady and her mom have been beefing over a yard for the past month, because it’s owner, who was in the family, died and left it to the rest of them for safekeeping.
So naturally they’ve been TRYING, but for some BIZARRE reason everything they’ve been trying to keep the lawn alive has been making it worse. So they’ve been blaming each other and the fertilizers chosen and the work time of day etc etc, until finally one of the neighbors listened in and told them that the dude who’d lived there had spent his last day doing HEAVY yardwork and especially working on the lawn, right, and had help from this certain company.
So they called the company, who wouldn’t tell them anything initially because why would they, until they learned what it was about and that they owned the house now. Apparently he and they’d aerated it and fertilized it and set up special water systems so it would need less upkeep and then he’d later that same day had a heart attack ON THE LAWN and died.
So these poor ladies have been over fertilizing it and overwatering it, because the sprinkler systems he’d installed were like, fully underground or something to drip out moisture, and they’d added new ones above ground bc they couldn’t see the sprinklers.
There were ‘you are trying to kill me by making me fix this’ accusations being thrown around too bc they both have diabetes, and theyd already paid two separate companies to see what was wrong and got a ‘idfk, try this fertilizer instead? And this watering setup?’
And the family was on the verge of tearing apart LIKE
Man. I didnt even know underground sprinklers were a Thing.
