May and June headcanons for the WIDC AU!! 💛🩵
First of all, getting the obvious out of the way here: They have distinct personalities now! Shocking, I know!
But lowkey I think that for a show that put such emphasis on giving HDL unique quirks to make them feel more real, it was kind of a cop out to have them just be Webby but with different colours!
So I'm giving them different personalities because guess what? Even if they're clones of Webby, they're different kids!!
💛 May is into fashion, like Daisy! Her personal preferences lean towards scene fashion; Bright colours, funky accessories, etc. Unlike Daisy though, she doesn't really like designing clothes much- It's hard coming up with something original! But she'll happily model whatever, whenever- As long as it's not those dirty clothes June likes!
In terms of personality, she's not great with people, especially on first meeting- She tends to stick close to June whenever they're in bigger groups, but if she can't for whatever reason she'll latch onto Webby, or occasionally Donald and/or Daisy.
She can also come off as rude sometimes, but she doesn't mean to! She's just highly skeptical of everyone, growing up with an abusive 'Mum' seriously affected her trust issues
On that note, she took a lot longer to adapt to the idea of Donald and Daisy being her potential parents than June and Webby did- She almost certainly had a moment of going "You're not my dad!" to Donald after hearing Webby and June call him that for the first time. It's difficult for her, this whole 'having parents who genuinely care about you' thing- She'll get there, eventually, just give her some time :)
🩵 As for June, she's much more on the tomboy side than her sisters! She loves fixing things and getting her hands dirty, partly because she likes to feel useful for the people she cares about, but mostly because she genuinely enjoys finding ways to fix things! She'll often help Donald out on the houseboat or attempt to fix the kitchen sink in the mansion... She doesn't always succeed, but she tries her best!!
She loves meeting new people, especially if they're friends of her new family members! She immediately loved Goofy because how could you not love that man?
She's on the complete opposite end than May; She often puts too much trust in complete strangers, which. Uh. Also isn't good, but she probably learns to be more cautious later on while still staying optimistic
Absolutely loves having Donald and Daisy as her parents!! They're amazing and kind and supportive and their love is unconditional and -
Out of all the triplets, May finds it easiest to talk to Huey, as he's the most cautious- He can understand her concerns about new people, surely!
June loves all the boys equally (cousin moment), she doesn't have a favourite!! (Though she definitely appreciates Dewey's colour choices 🙂↕️)
