As a human, Metzli was constantly led by their heart, willing to risk retribution in order to provide a person with what they need. What did it matter anyway? They were outcasted. Their reasoning being that if they were put in that position, it was for a good reason and it was their job to not be everything people hated them for.

Under Eloy's wing, loyalty far outweighed any inequity, damage, or harm they caused in the name of their sire. They were converted to lawful evil in the name of their love for Eloy. This justification led to a desensitization and erasure of the kind heart they once had. It was better to shun this in order to serve the person who not only gave them everything they dreamed of (or so they thought) but wanted to offer the same to other people. They followed Eloy's law to the letter, assuming an evil approach to exact it on others.
