Whumpee being expected to come scrambling to Whumper immediately when their name is called.
After rescue Whumpee flinches in fear whenever someone says their name. They hate their name. It's forever tainted by Whumper.

Thinking about Whumpees and the lifetime effects of whump. Diseases, infections and other physical health problems from the conditions they were kept in and the way they were treated. Maybe the problems come and go. Maybe it's a constant issue that never truly goes away.
Developing a permanent mental disorder as a result of the trauma. PTSD, DID, etc.
Bad habits that they might be able to overcome now, but you know will eventually return when they're not mentally sound.
Forcing them to adapt to a new way of living because of something that was done to them is just so deliciously cruel. They've gotta go through the grieving process, and some might never fully heal from it. Some might not even survive.

Maybe Whumpee 1 just got captured. They get dragged through a long hallway, scared out of their mind, eyes darting around looking for an escape and trying to make sense of their environment. They pass an open door and peek in. Whumpee 2 sits in a grim room chained up against the wall, beaten and bloody, looking back at them with terrified eyes. There is a second of eye contact, two horrified whumpees looking at each other, one who has been here for long enough to know the horrors intimately, and one who has no idea where they even are.
Whumpee 1 gets dragged along, the image of Whumpee 2 stuck in their mind. They get chained up in their own room a few doors ahead and undergo the same horrible treatment.
Sometimes Whumpee 1 hears Whumpee 2 scream in agony. It horrified them in the beginning, but it becomes almost like a sick comfort over time. When Whumpee 2 is screaming at least Whumpee 1 knows they are not being tortured today. They wonder if Whumpee 2 felt relief when Whumpee 1 had been dragged in.

Another scenario could be one where two friend whumpees are in one room together but just get heavily punished anytime they try to talk. They slowly lose their courage to do so. Maybe in the beginning they only stay quiet when their captor is in the room, still softly whispering to each other when they are alone. But then of course they get punished for that too because Whumper has cameras. At some point Whumper doesn't even have to monitor the camera anymore because the whumpees are too paranoid to risk it. Their captivity just becomes a lot of staring and sitting in silence. Maybe soft cries without any comforting words. Bonus points if they're chained to different sides of the room so they can't physically comfort each other either.
A variety of this could be that every time one of them talks, the other one gets punished. Some fun little guilt and being forced to watch mixed in.

Whumpees are being held at gunpoint. Maybe it a robbery or a kidnapping. There is deafening silence. Nobody talks. Just the gun and the threatening gaze is enough to keep whumpees quiet.

And of course, we can not forget, the tried and trusted: just gag them. Can't talk if you're gagged.

Whumpee who is on antidepressants and is forced to quit cold turkey when they get captured. Having to endure both the torture and the withdrawal symptoms and their depression coming back full force.

When the character grips hard, tightening all their muscles, in the hope that it will keep them from fainting.
When the character slowly lowers themselves against the thing they where holding onto because they can't keep themselves upright anymore.
When they sit down leaning heavily against the thing, panting, because even sitting is too much.
