#whump things

Thinking about Whumpees and the lifetime effects of whump. Diseases, infections and other physical health problems from the conditions they were kept in and the way they were treated. Maybe the problems come and go. Maybe it's a constant issue that never truly goes away.

Developing a permanent mental disorder as a result of the trauma. PTSD, DID, etc.

Bad habits that they might be able to overcome now, but you know will eventually return when they're not mentally sound.

Whumpee attempts suicide, believing that the only options Whumper has is to let them die, or take them to a hospital where they might find help.

"I'm not sure I understand," Caretaker frowned. They leaned back against the kitchen counter, watching as Whumpee glared at them from the dining room table. "You're always saying that you believe you're your own person, and that you deserve to be taken seriously. All I did was agree with you-"

"It's fucking weird!" Whumpee snapped. "Of course I say those things - I believe them. I benefit from those things. You don't!"

They'd half expected Caretaker to realise their mistake and agree. Instead, Caretaker continued to stare at them with that infuriating little frown on their face. No anger, just confusion. "Why wouldn't I benefit from taking you seriously? You're very intelligent. You've got a good heart."

Caretaker's wrists are bound behind them, so they use their teeth to bite through Whumpee's gag

Whumpee spits blood at Whumper after they ask them to spill information

Whumpee's arms are tied high enough that they can't protect their ribs, can't curl up,cant double over, can't do anything but endure the pain

Caretaker counts every scream, every groan of pain because it's the only way to know Whumpee is still alive in the other room

Whumpee is given a word. A single word that dictates when they've got permission to speak. It's been weeks since they last heard it. Caretaker keeps asking them to say something. Practically begging them, but they won't say the word.

Of course they won't. They have no way of knowing what it is, but Whumpee can't find their voice without it. It's so deeply engrained in them that not even Whumper's death can fix it.

When Whumpee is so emotionally overwhelmed that their face begins to contort as though they're in physical pain.
