@whosmiled miled said: lmao my mom used to work @ a twin donut and she got so much gross shit for her accent / being pakistani so ty for this
honestly I see this a lot and I've gotten so mad and I've gotten into verbal fights with people on this ? People who are so impatient and ready to hurl slurs and just overall disgusting things ? ur mom didn't deserve this shit at all and I hope she knows that she's incredible and wonderful and such a strong, extraordinary woman and that she remembers to put herself first before anyone else and she remembers that her value is always first before anyone else's. Just because ur mom worked in the food industry doesn't mean she had to deal with all that gross shit and I'm honestly so sorry that she wasn't given the positive experience that she deserved ? There are people are out there working their ass off to conform to the whole ' learn English ' ideal and it's so toxic ? And even the people who work their ass off for it are often forgotten or rejected for their hard work and I hate that ? I want them to know that they have all the time in the world and I'm going to be extremely patient with them because I see their effort and they can take their sweet time ? Their value / commitment / kindness and generosity counts and I see that all the time and this is the thing I would honestly want to fight for ? To back up and to help raise their voices and give them a platform to speak up on ?

OK SAME
like not to get Political but even if you donāt ship arthur/gwen which, whatever, to each their own, you literally cannot deny the abusive aspects between arthur and merlin. Ā like even the fact that merlin is arthurās servant? and you can argue that gwenās a servant too, but she was never working directly for arthur, so the power dynamic is different there my guy

Ā it seemed like just yesterday that he had packed up his belongings in the middle of the night and left ā and maybe it had just been yesterday ; after all, it was a memory he revisited a couple times a day. wondering about the WHAT IFāS and how the love of his life was doing. not that he was able to forget about her - she had been everywhere, on the cover of every newspaper, every magazine - it seemed like everywhere he turned, there was a reminder of her.Ā
not that he regretted his decision in any way. it was just nice to revisit the thought, to imagine how drastically different his life wouldāve been if he had stayed.Ā he had two months of memories to base a fantasy, alternate lifestyle off of ; two months of watching the girl he knew as anya reunite with her family, reclaim her rightful title and place. two months of realizing that this was not a place for someone like him, that russian rats were no good in anastasiaās life ( people like him would only bring her down ), would only get in the way. someone like him was not deserving of being in the presence of her royal highness. royalty and con men didnāt end up together. this wasnāt a childās fairytale - there wouldnāt be a storybook ending this time.Ā someone like him, a common āconā man, would never fare well in high society. he didnāt have years of training, would never be good at obeying rules and bowing to whoever he met.
it was with these thoughts that he had decided to leave eight months ago ;Ā the letter, addressed to anya (Ā the last time he thought heād be able to call her that ) had been sitting in his pocket for weeks, trying to find the opportune moment to sneak away. knew that the longer he stayed, the harder itād be to tear himself apart from her. that letter was the only thing that he had left behind ; the only trace that heād ever been there at all. funny, how it was a letter that was responsible for his return, eight months later - the birthday of his only friend, vlad.Ā
and funny, how she was the first person heād run into, upon his return. bowing and scraping (Ā how funny, that she was the only person heād ever bowed for )Ā - eyes unable to meet her ; unworthy once again, of being in her presence.Ā
ā your highness. ā
